no external leaks anyware
but the grapple will no stay open and will not hold on to anything
When i first got it it would hold then i got something big and i felt a pop and now it leaks down
So your "cheap grapple" has done what cheap things do? Depending on the cylinder you might be able to rebuild it, replacement is probably the way to go. Local Tractor supply should have them.
It is possible the piston broke off of or otherwise came disconnected from the rod in the hydraulic cylinder. Does it have one or two cylinders? Best bet Is to take cylinder to a hydraulic shop and have them check it out / rebuild it.
Quick test of the cylinder, disconnect the rod end of the cylinder from the grapple and push & pull it. You’ll learn very quickly if you got a busted cylinder. Fortunately, there’s drop in replacements if the design is basic.
I think you answered your own question young padwan. Use the force to re-align the universe to your will. Or re-design the grapple and replace the cheap parts with quality ones.
