I think I'm going to pick up a grapple bucket soon. My question is about the hydrolysis how do I hook those up ? Rear remotes? Is there a way to put a button on the fel stick? Looking at going with some from Titan attachments.

I guess there are at least three options.

1. 3rd function valve up front (What I have)
2. Diverter valve
3. Using rear Hydraulics and long Hydraulic hoses that reach the front and are not conflicting with any other functions.

Choices 1 and 2 I believe are better solutions. Also research "The Thumb" if you're looking to add a grapple thumb to the front bucket. Some people have had not so great satisfaction with Titan. If you're thinking of a full grapple, check out EA 's "Wicked Root Grapple".

Many have used the rear remotes, constructing their own hydraulic lines. You can do a search and see the threads with pics. Very informative. If you want the electric switch on the stick you can get the third function from several places. Everything attachments has those also. I second the Wicked root grapple from Everything Attachments. Great engineering and well built.

You could PM MtnViewRanch or go to his web site http://www.fitritehydraulics an check out some ideas. Look down 5 threads below here.

Talked to my local dealer today. He said that LS is designing a joystick with the buttons for the 3rd function like Kubota has. He wasn't sure how soon it would be out though. I am pricing a new XR4145. Excellent deal for tractor, loader, backhoe, and 6' rotary cutter.

I bought a New 7010 a few months ago and the LS Dealer installed a 3rd function and yes there is a thumb button on the joystick so not sure what the dealer is waiting for ?

I think his point was that LS was coming out with their own brand OEM Joy Stick.

Congrats on the 3rd function joystick. You'll come to love it.
I got the root rake w/grapple and bucket.

Now go get 'em dirty!
You'll be looking for more seat time like the rest of us.

I put the third function on my new 4040 it was easy and it has the button on the new handle. I bought a root grapple. It works great. Then I went and got a stump grapple that thing is awesome. a little hard to see with the hood in the way but I am getting use to it.
