PS: I know what it is like working in the woods with a small CUT. My '76 Power King is a little larger, heavier, and more powerful than your B6000, but 2WD and no FEL. I did a lot of things with it, and still use it for mowing, but compared to the PT-425, it was like going from cutting wood with a hatchet to using a chainsaw!! On slopes and in the woods, like going from a cow to a goat!!

I'll certainly keep you all advised on my decision process. It will largely depend on the condition of Rich's PT, and the attachments that come with it. He doesn't have a grapple bucket, but he does have a rock bucket that could be converted, and perhaps a brush cutter (I'm not sure). Those are the two attachments at the top of my list. Next on the list would be a stump grinder and mini-hoe. He has a 60" finish mower that I have no need for, and a 6-way plow that I have little/no need for. If I end up with it, I'd likely be selling/trading these, to get the attachments that I need more.
Similar to you, I have two other old tractors in good condition (that I plan to keep at least one of) -- an old Simplicity and a matching Allis-Chalmers -- that have interchangeable 48" finish mowers in addition to a whole range of attachments for them, including a lawn vac & cart, 46" tiller, spike aerator, moldboard plow, revitalizer, belly blade, HD snow/dozer blade, snowblowers, etc. I can use one of these to maintain the lawn and driveway once the construction phase is over -- but I need the PT for the initial clearing, site work and ongoing work in the woods. I thought the 4WD Kubota would meet those needs, but that didn't prove to be the case...
Somewhat different from you, I need to have working tractors in two different locations, 900 miles apart, with different needs at each location, for the next 5 to 7 years. If I only needed one tractor, at one location, with one set of needs, a new PT certainly sounds like the way to go, but that's not the case with me.
Meanwhile, Rich is going on vacation until after the 4th, so I won't be able to check out his PT until later next week. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
