Bill,

I make wine from kits. Good quality juice is key. What kind of grapes do you have? It is not so much a recipe but the steps and methods that will drive your wine. If you could get the instruction steps for one of these kits, you will see there are several packets added along they way. Bentinite(sp) is added in the begining to keep the small partical clumped together. Special wine yeast and proper sugar content and your good to go. Back in the day folks would make wine out of just about any thing. But most often, they were just making sugar water wine with stuff thrown in for flavor. If you ever had uncle bob's home made wine you'd know what I'm talking about!

Press the grapes, place the juice in carboys with an airlock and wait for your wine to start fermenting. There should be natural yeast on the grapes.:D

Use the pressings for a second batch prepared independently from the first pressing.:D

I have good concord grapes. We make great jelly every year, still have plenty from past years. So this year we thought we would give wine a try.
Thanks
