Simply adorable. My wife and I have four grandchildren and we cherish each one. Kids are just "Little People".

Grandparents are the best and can get away with a lot. My Dad(passed on now) would send my little ones away full of chocolate and candy... he would smile and say enjoy the drive home... knowing they would be wired on sugar!!!! The drive was 1.5 hours... usually the sugar rush would end just before we made into the driveway.

My daughters say that two thirds of the 'bad tricks' they learned as children were taught to them by my mother. The other third by my mother in law. Grand dads aren't the only guilty ones!

Agree completely. I have so much fun with my grandson.....running, jumping...playing ..... He loves to feed cows and bait the hog traps...And of course roam in the woods....

No Grandchildren... I do have four nieces and the oldest is 10

The 3 sisters are always eager to help on any project... when the oldest was eight she was visiting just when I was replacing the plywood on my box trailer... already had it cut... just needed to position and pilot drill and put in the bolts... almost a box worth.

I showed her how to drill and use a wrench to tighten the bolts... she had so much fun and every time she sees that old trailer she comes over to make sure all the bolts are as they should be...

Her father wasn't so happy about it... she went home and started looking for things to fix... like the fence... oh well... can't please everyone.

Just another great use for the Duct tape bunch. Personally I like Adam on mythbusters tied upside down on table, to keep him out of trouble..But never on my grandkids, my wife would brand me on the flank..

That seems to be the philosophy of most grandparents. My mom has made it perfectly clear that the rules at Grandma's house are completely different than the rules at home. For instance, ice cream for dinner is competely acceptable, and bedtime is whenever you go to bed.

I'll put up with all the spoiling in the world in order for my kids to have a good relationship with their grandparents. What grandparents and grandkids share more than anything is an enmity towards the generation between them. When my kids grow up a little more and realize that mom and dad don't know anything, I want them to have other role models they can go to that I can trust.
