Ha! Economics and convenience, I had the grey and no red... I probably would of still painted it grey, for stealth grading LOL

Yeah, I like attachments to be colored according to their job. Grey fits this tool very well.

Great day to take the grader/scraper out for its maiden voyage, it just rained last night and dry enough so there is no mud.

Here's a couple of pics before work began

I have to say, this thing is amazing! What used to take me 6 or 8 passes with the 3 point back blade now only takes half that much and you can go quite a bit faster.

The scarifiers make all the difference in the world, they loosen up the packed down road bed so the blade can spread it out smooth. The single 3 point back blade had one hellof a hard time doing that and is why it would take so many passes to get the road smoothed out. I did in an hour what it would take me 3 hours before.

I am totally impressed with this implement and how effective it is in smoothing out my road, and it pulls nice and easy.

A couple of quick pics of my main driveway and about half of our shared road.

Glad it works good for you.

I'm always nervously optimistic the first time I use an implement I built....

You definitely live in big sky country!!!

This thing is totally amazing.

This is the first time I really spent a few hours working with it, it rained good yesterday which made prime time grading/scraping conditions.

Then the dual dually garbage truck came, he is like a big steam roller - Perfect!

Wanted to share these pics, I really could not be happier with this tool.

Great work on the land plane. Enjoyed following the build. One gets that warm fuzzy feeling when a project performs well.

Enjoyed your sharing the build and the end results. Your driveway is like a parking lot compared to mine. Have seen better and longer last roadbed after years of use with a land plane. Hope you see the time and material savings over time as well.

Very well done. Professional fab skills. Infact, probably better as most vompanies just can't put the labor into perfection as you did. Next you need to build a 3point roller for tightening the rock after your dress. I always though a large round drum approx. 6 or 7 feet filled with used motor oil.
