Grader/Scraper Build

Dang it, now I am going to have to build two, one for the left side of the road, and one for the right! LOL

Just drive on the "wrong side". :D
Funny you mention that even though you may be joking. I have one (store bought "Roadrunner") and it's angle is to the gutter, never really understood why, but the comments about lack of moving much material in a single pass is my observation as well. I built one angled to the left.

Yes sir, it really doesn't make much difference with this little patch of road I am going to be using it on, zero traffic and flat as a pancake. If the thing doesn't do what I want I just hack it apart and fab it till it does! - another excuse to spend quality time in the shop.

Wow! I am not sure what to like more, your grader/scraper build or your iron worker, dang for $1800 that is a total steal, before I saw the ironworker I did notice the sheared gussetts and thought to myself, dang, that's the way to go! Nice build and nice tools

Thanks for the comments.

Made some progress on the 3 point connections, mocked it up with the tractor so everything should pin right on. :p

Next I think I will flip it over and weld all the underneath welds.

Is it ok to add one more "Very nice"?:thumbsup:
What side of MT? I've toured around (fell in love with) the western side from ID to Kalispell.

Near Billings, I lived in the Bitterroot valley (West side, S of Missoula) from 92 - 97, then moved over to the East side. I love it here. :)

Nice looking welds. Will be interesting to see how that rear angle holds up without a blade.

That looks better than any “ production “ brand. You did a great job, welds look fantastic. Cannot wait to hear / see how it works!

Looking good, painting is almost my least favorite part, re painting (because I did a poor job) is my least favorite part.
At 10* outside, old Mother Nature is telling you that you have the time, do it up right with the paint :drink:

Got it painted today. Forecast says were in for 3"-6" of snow, ha, maybe I should of built a snow blade.

It might leave the ground just right to do a little grader work, and we need the moisture.

Thanks for the kind words on this build, it was fun.

I will take some pics of the maiden voyage.

Very professional looking. I have some serious shop envy. Guess you call them butte levelers in big sky country? Thanks for sharing.

Ha! Economics and convenience, I had the grey and no red... I probably would of still painted it grey, for stealth grading LOL
