Dang it. I was hoping for some of this...

Or, more realistically this:

More seriously, is there a good way or spot to divert the debris downstream after it breaks loose? Maybe if you can temporarily place nets or ropes to get the logs toward one shore and to a accessible location. Probably easier said than done.

I have a feeling that once they are cut free in small pieces, it’ll be to easy to just let them float away harmlessly.

There are lots of YouTube videos, people clearing log jams in a river. Here's one below.
I hate when they add "music" and like anything there are different ways to do it.
I can't see any liability of a large tree bartering ram because it was headed downstream anyway. In this case the museum being so close is the main problem, so no blasting (unfortunately ).

That’s what I’ve thought the whole time. If whole trees float down a river a bunch of short pieces aren’t going to make any difference.

a guy with a chainsaw at low water level or a long stick excavator or like you sand a craine.

The log jam I am clearing is less than 1/100th of that mess.

Hard to believe the weight of all that waterlogged debris doesn’t just pull the winch vehicle into the water….

Maybe there’s a release mechanism and the end of the cable just falls to bottom of the river?

The background music in the video must have loosened the pile.

More seriously, the pile in the video doesn't look like it had been compacting for years like yours.
