Got asked to bid a very unusual project

Yes! The project manager decided to have the company that removed the RR tracks remove the log jamb. Reason is because the bridge piers required divers to inspect pier footings, so it made more sense for them to do it. They utilized a floating platform with outboard motor. Couple guys on platform used a combination of saws and gaffs to get the logs moving.

Luckily I am still doing some of the tree removal on land nearby, so alls not lost.

Did they complete the job already? if so, did you get to see any of the action to see what you missed?
IMO you dodged a bullet and if you get to do all their other jobs still A+

I'm glad it worked out, and i think we all appreciate the update.

Now, for the "told you so" part; for people that doubted the seriousness of working around a bridge structure...
