I own a 3325 and I bush hogged Saturday afternoon. First thing I had to do was replace a shear pin in the PTO shaft on the bush hog. I sheared it off last year.
Once I got this fixed I began working. Some how I kicked the high and low lever into netrual. My PTO stopped running but the tractor kept rolling on.
I thought I had sheared a pin in the tractors PTO. This concerned me because the brush wasn't that demanding. I stopped the tractor put it out of gear to investigate. I was getting ready to drive to the shed and notices my tractor wouldn't move. I thought I had done some serious damage. I only have 15 hours on the tractor but I knew if I had over loaded the PTO and sheasred off an internal pin or stripped a gear my warranty wouldn't cover it.
I looked down and saw the high low transmision selector was in netural. I put it in low and guess what everything worked fine.
This is the first tractor I have had where the transmission had to be fully engaged for the PTO to operate.
I guess you are never too old to learn something. All of my tractors up until this one had live PTO's.
