Certainly am in the market for some forks. Grapple is also on the wish list, but with the cost + additional cost for a diverter, the forks will likely come first.

I reckon you could weld one up. Do you have any rear remotes on the MX?

Congrats, my MX has served me well for the last 4 yrs with no real issues. 500 +hrs now and still working strong! Love this machine!

Too much cutting an fab work to make a grapple I think.

Local place here, 5 min away, sells tital grapples. $1250 for 6' and 1450 for 6-1/2. For the cost of material, cylinders, and lots of time cutting, I'd just buy one for that.

Can't remember who it was....94bullitt???? That got the grapple parts from ETA and welded up. Need to score me a deal like that:thumbsup:

No remotes. Might consider adding some though

yeah it was Roger 94bullit that got the "build it yourself" kit from EA. Of course there was still a lot of work involved int putting it together. Still a good deal for him though.:) I was thinking a grapple might be pretty handy for you in you business. You could take on clean up jobs. You can move a lot of crap in a hurry with a grapple.

Yep. A grapple is pretty high up the wish list. Moving brush is 10x's easier than with just a plain bucket.

I added a mechanical thumb to my BH and its proved very usefull.

Never did one on the L3400 cause it was a pin on bucket and just never had time. Now with a SSQA.......

Probably end up dopping for a 8' cutter first though. So priority order would be 1. SSQA pallet forks. 2. 8' twin spindle hog 3. Grapple. 4. Some remotes and converting to an angle blade + TNT.

I love my 6' 306 bushhog, it will go through anything and impossible to hurt that cutter, but it dont do grass well. Only 10,200fpm blade speed. My cheapie 5' KK @ 12,500 is 10x's better. Dad has a 6' KK we need to get fixed up. Its 15k. But I really need an 8' twin up north of 15k

Well now you have enough tractor to actually make use of it. You are going to really like that SSQA. I have moved a lot of logs and rocks with just forks, but a grapple is better. You can learn how to load and unload big rocks with the forks with some practice though.

I'm in the same boat on the SSQA forks. They are first on the list. If I could pull it off I would go for the grapple fork from CID attachments. That would pretty much be my perfect addition to my Workmaster.

I had the same concerns on the Tier 4 emissions as you did LD1 but I found out that New Holland only utilized a catalytic converter on the Workmasters. I had a shuttle on my 1720 so I was used to that.

You will really enjoy the hydro and cruise.

Played a little in the dirt today. The hydro is gonna take some getting used to, thats for sure. Bout eat the steering wheel everytime I try to go backwards.

And everytime I want to hit the pedal to rev up and raise the loader, the tractor goes forward for some reason:D

Whoops.. I want youtube video. :D
Run your RPMs at around 1900 and just drive.. The Kubota's of that series have a "sharp" hydrostat response as you are directly controlling the swash plate with your foot. The Grand L's (and the DKse Kioti's too) don't control the swash plate directly with your foot. it is a hydraulic servo, so the response is smoother. The Granl L's go one step further and allow you to dial in the response from sharp fast all the way to slow smooth or even "mushy". The Kioti just chooses a spot in the middle.

But yours is all up to you. It is your foot that can modulate the response by letting off slowly and pressing down slowly. Or not.. It is up to you.:)

With your machine is is possible to slam the pedal forward and then in instant to slam it backwards and if the ground surface is a little slippery, gravel or wet it will spin the tires, all 4 of them. There is a pedal damper, but the hydro response itself is very fast. Give it a couple days of operation and you will be a pro.

No videos. You have a HST, so use your imagination and it's like that. Getting better at it though.

Hooked up the blade. The telescopic arms are indeed nice, but not as easy as my QH ends. But not so bad to warrant putting QH ends on these arms. need to get some bushings for sure.

The reason I didn't put mine back on, was with the OEM stock ball ends, there is less slop, plus arms can go lower. I haven't regretted not using the Carters. They were great on the L3400, but I just didn't think I needed them with the telescoping lower links.

Still debating on weather I want to put bolt-on teeth on there like my L3400, or just buy a tooth bucket since I have SSQA now?? Never really noticed the teeth helping much when digging, but were very handy looping a strap/chain around and lifting things

Sweet new tractor, congrats!
Be patient and wait for a tooth bucket to come around!

Was on tdata refreshing my memory on some specs til I get my manuals....odd that they have the mx5100 listed as a cat I 3ph?

Lowers are def. 1-1/8. Also odd that the toplink tractor side is still 3/4". But the toplink has one end with a cat I 3/4" eye, the other end is cat II??

Hate when mfgs do this. Seems every tractor I have seen in the 40-60hp range with cat II lowers still has cat I toplink holes

That's a great tractor and an excellent price. The skidsteer loader setup nd HST are great, too. I love my MX5100and it is quite a workhorse. Congratulations.

That is a really smart job on the remotes. You have a tractor and setup that is good for the next 30 or 40 years. Maybe I missed it but what do you do with three remotes? I use two.
