Well I just looked up and found 19 Google pages for Michael Ebner, I searched the first 10 pages most Austrian descent and still I wasn't there. Not too scary, I was afraid they might say I was related to Manson or something....

I've typed in my name and actually got some hits on myself.

Well...I decided to try it. Have not done it for a while, if ever?

Came up with this...

Actually might be of interest to TBN bicyclists or someone interested in seeing a different side of Japan...as opposed to tourist places... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yep, that Bill is this Bill, but this Bill now spends a lot more time in the tractor seat than on the bicycle seat... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The links at the bottom of the page touch on different aspects of bicycle touring in Japan. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After reading those pages again I am starting to get the desire to get back on the bike! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Yes I have. I donated a bunch of money about 8 years ago to a local representative and that use to show up for years. I don't know how that got on the internet but it did. Also type in your ID here such as "thcri". It tells you your profile as seen here.

Yeah I did and turned a bunch of technical papers I wrote early in my career at NASA. I had completely forgotten about them. Oh well, that's life

I'm very envious. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Cycling may be the best way to see the country. I've got a 1987 blue/white Nishiki touring bike and several mountain bikes.

Did some tours but only in western Canada. Hope to follow the Rhine and Danube some day. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've heard that and tried that before. I still don't exist. Most people are blown away when they type in their phone number (area code in (), and then XXX-XXXX format) and find their address and driving directions to their house are listed on Google. You can opt out of that. I did opt out several years ago when Google and other search engines began that service. Try your phone number. See if you come up. If you do, and don't like it, I'd suggest opting out.

Dargo; I must be a nonperson, one of the faceless minions. It didn't work for me. Maybe that's not so bad. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

We have had an unlisted phone number for the past 20 years but I never thought I might be listed in Google because of TBN....have to check that out. THANKS for the tip.
