I watched Boys In The Boat today. Great movie, no, good movie, yes.

Olongapo Rose on utube is a BBC documentary filmed in 1988 about Subic Bay in the Philippines and is about as realistic as it gets. I left there in late 1987. I just just don't believe the number. I thinkj it was more like 5000 bars and 60 thousand hookers, and Angeles City home of Clark Air Force base you could probably double those numbers.

"Boys In The Boat". True story set around the great depression/world war 2 era. I would say it is an Outstanding movie on Prime video right now.

Just finished watching it

As I told my wife when we left watching a movie at the "cheap seats" the other week, it's amazing how you can take a topic pretty unknown or forgotten in history and actually make a good film of it that doesn't include cursing, killing or sex.
