now, I can get pretty much free most all Cad/design software. I have a Fusion account, and maybe a Solidworks account. We teach Fusion right now, but 2 professors want to switch over to Solidworks. But they currently use Fusion along with the CAM side of it to let students do some cnc programs.
I think that Solidworks might be a better choice for students going out into industry. I think that Fusion is aimed more at smaller operations with the integrated CAM functions.
My son is an Engineer presently working for the Navy on Submarines. He uses solidworks there, as well as previous jobs and in school.
He is still a resource for me because tbe concepts are all the same, you just have to find the commands and what they are called.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 5C and it's presently only 17.2C, partly cloudy with a wee breeze. There was 10.5mm in the gauge at 0900 with some rain since then + more predicted later on. Apparently today is the first 'official' day of Summer but you wouldn't know it, down here in Tassie.

I'm pretty much going to do some dhobi today and wait for things to dry out some before getting stuck into more wood stacking.

That's about it, take care all.
I learned a valuable lesson about putting my Swiss Army Knife in the ultrasonic tank to clean it. Don’t crank the heat up!
Did the toothpick survive?

Been working on the “perfect” pocket tool. Presently its a 3D printed sleeve that holds small Knipex cobra pliers, a small stainless ratchet that takes 1/4” hex bits, a few double ended bits and Victorinox tweezers and toothpick as well as a Leatherman miniature eyeglass screwdriver. All that and its lighter and thinner than my Victorinox Cybertool.

I'm not dressed without a pocket knife in my pocket. I had a nice slim SS one with a 3 inch blade that I lost some place. It was hell finding a replacement as most manufactures and vendors will not ship a pocket knife with a 3 inch blade to NY. Even though the legal limit is 4"

I was going to ask if you got around to printing the sleeve and how it worked out as I am looking into the same setup.
