Yea, I get that living in MD. They have this place so rigged there ain't a snowballs chance in hell that the right people will get elected. But we dream......

Turkey is out of the oven. First time we checked the temp, wife handed me the thermometer, and it said only 90 something in the middle. I said it's going to need more than a few more minutes. But next time we checked, I noticed the thermometer was set to C instead of F....... It was done.

Sorry I missed you Lou, could have run up to Watertown for an eyeball TBN meeting

I thought about contacting you. But wasn't sure of when I would get started or how long it would take to get there. Goggle maps in my truck took me down a rabbit hole going. Started out on Rt.22 at I90 then a whole series of smaller secondary roads. Then one of the small secondaries petered out down to one lane pavement then one lane dirt. I was starting to think I might be on a field road and was wondering if I'd have room to turn around or was going to have to backup a couple of miles, then it got back to single lane paved, then 2 lane paved.
Coming back up I used 8 then I90.

I remember taking a newly paved road in WV years ago, went about 2 miles it became dirt and gravel. lol.
Just last year or so while looking at land, following Waze, took a road in WV, same thing, went from paved to gravel, went around a bend and you had to drive thru a river. No bridge. Water was up from rain, and wasn’t going to chance it. Took over an hour to backtrack and go around to other side. The land we were going to was aweful, big waste of time.

Did not have enough plate to make all steel supported but it works. When the wedge was driven in all the way it shifted position so the piece of wood is taking up the slack. Do not have a welder hooked up so silver soldered the shaft collar to the plate. But it is rock solid. Will test it out for a while.

We used to have a scrap dealer in town that also sold surplus random steel for small projects but he is no longer in business.

Yup...also shifting gears going around corners on motorcycle...good way to break traction.
