Good morning!!!!

Good Morning to All Who Celebrate! Currently 42° heading to a high of 43° so we don't have too much further to climb. Looks clear for the foreseeable future.

Weekend firewood collecting went well. Got everything processed and another two bucketloads down to the firewood stack. 500i ran like a champ since I'm again discovering problems with the Farmboss. This time it didn't want to seal the bar oil tank. Of course I didn't notice it leaking until I went to put it in the new and improved Sawhaul, ergo it marked it's territory clear across the pole barn and then out the man door. 🙃 So I'll have to see why it's cranky again.

Pleased to report that Sawhaul made an update to their design, so the weight of the saw no longer rests on that flimsy plastic piece. It's now secured in place to the steel holster with a screw and washer, so the weight is spread more evenly.

Log Splitter ran well, even though the trees I was processing had lots of knots. Think the oaks were immature when they died, too many lower branches and not enough solid trunk/limb wood. I only split the best stuff, wasn't worth fighting with the crotches.

After that, put everything back on Sunday and re-covered the log splitter. Need to also soak the pins holding the table and log lift together. They had accumulated some rust. Think a bath in WD-40 will resolve that. Log splitter will be called to service again later in the winter for the big session as well.

Mom has been cleaning and toddler-proofing the house, we are going to be responsible for little man this coming Wednesday as his mom and dad are heading to a wedding in VA. Hope to be able to take him on a tractor ride since he's big enough now, but time will tell. If I do so, there will be pictures!

Also need to pick up a few pallets from work to extend the log pile and get to stacking. I'm sure all of my hard work will end up dry-rotting, but the old man wanted the wood and they're his trees. Oh well.

Back to tackling the Monday morning crazies.

I'm envious of the snow/snow pictures, as far as I'm concerned it can't come soon enough!

Y'all stay safe out there and be well!
Prayers for all ailing and recovering!

I thought that was a she.
shows what I know....truly.
Although external genitalia are difficult to observe in squirrels without handling them, other physical characteristics can offer clues.

  • Size: In some squirrel species, males are slightly larger than females. However, this difference isn’t always significant and can be unreliable.
  • Nipples: Female squirrels have visible nipples, particularly during and after breeding season. This is most easily observed on a squirrel that is relaxed or outstretched. Finding nipples is conclusive proof of female gender, but their absence doesn’t necessarily mean the squirrel is male.
  • Scrotum: During breeding season, the scrotum of a male squirrel can become more prominent and visible. This is the most reliable external physical indicator, but it requires a close look and is only apparent during specific times of the year.
  • General Body Shape: Some observers suggest subtle differences in body shape, with males potentially appearing more muscular or stockier. This is a highly subjective and unreliable method.

67°F and 2.05 inches rain, soggy and more forecast.

We have a 2100 acre wildfire up mountain, closer to Hilo, being described as non threatening, but sure hope it gets some of this rain.

If forecast holds looks to be and inside week. My first priority being resolving my broken mower.

Happy Hour in town this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

not exactly playing live dates anymore.

I haven’t made it to that level of maturity yet. Although I definitely have a preference for venues with backline and PA provided. Then all I bring is a pelican case with in-ears and a DI.
I bet it’s been at least a decade since I took one of those Ampegs out.

But i still play out regularly, sometimes with others over 50 years younger than me.

Actually that was one of the reasons for the mesh system, WiFi calling in the buildings and walking between them while on a call. Now the number of dropped calls is gone to near zero from a near certainty.
my phone is set for wifi calling, but it doesn't seem to work....
I have a Weboost LTE booster, but a cable connector broke on it a few years back, and reboost would not fix it. I soldered the connector back on, but doesn't appear to work. It was around $500 new. Has an outdoor antenna you point towards the tower, and an indoor amp and antenna.

31F and light flurries @ 11:45, calling for a high 33F for the day. Low this morning was 26.7F.

Looks like we got around an inch of light fluffy snow overnight, ground only covered in spots, can still see some grass.

Cleaned up some more concrete wall in preparation for another foam board panel.

Was finally able to figure out which breaker was feeding the old electrical outlet for the softener and got that shut off.

Got the conduit pulled off and the wire relocated into the studs and stapled down.

Installed a double duplex box and a couple of outlets there and then connected the feed going to the outlets on the south wall. Got one outlet installed in a box there.

After that I vacuumed up the debris from drilling the holes for the wire.

Then got the rest of the 2 x 4's cut for the remaining section of wall on the south side and got that all nailed together with the Milwaukee air nailer.

Was around midnight at that point so I knocked off for the day.

Have an appointment with the dermatologist early this afternoon.

Then probably back down to the utility room.

Hope everyone is having a decent day ... (y)
