good morning, 38 going to 64 with sunny conditions all day

Managed to scrounge up a 30 inch wide by 5 feet long butcher block table top and heavy metal parts for the legs and shelves and even found a metal drawer to mount under the table. Brought the metal parts down to the welding shop and assembled it loosely. Missing some lag screws to mount it to the table top so a trip may be needed to get those. Tipped the welding table up on the end to get it out the way. Took all my strength to get it tilted. The butcher block table top will be a challenge as well, very heavy

Finally had the house cool off early enough in the evening to light one wood stove last night. The dogs were happy campers. We’ve had some colder nights over the last two weeks, but the house was always too warm in the evenings from the afternoon highs, to want to light a stove before bed.

In fact I could’ve lit both, if I’d been prepared with more than one load of wood up at the house, so I guess that’s a chore for this weekend, stocking the wood racks at the house and barn, from the wood storage lot in the lower yard. Stove season is upon us.

Our newest dog had never experienced a stove before, she informed me she’ll be sleeping on the hearth, and to wake her when spring arrives. :ROFLMAO: The old dog showed her the spot where the bricks stay nice and warm.

Good morning, the low is 40 and going up to 48°F. Wind E 7 mph. Showers.

A dump & town run is in the cards for today Will take a look at a neighbours driveway and determine how/where I am going to put the snow this winter. She put a portable shelter up in one area I have previously put snow.

I ran into an interesting video about John M. Browning and what he was famous for.
Ever since I was a little kid I have been fascinated with those mechanical things. But alas the best teacher out there had already made a promise to my mother that he wouldn't teach me anything about them. He was an armourer during the war and an instructor at R.C.A.F. Station #1 OTU Bagotville, Quebec.
OTU is Operational Training Unit

Will check in later, maybe.

Have a safe day all

Good morning TBN folks. A balmy 55 this am and the ground is wet so some rain passed through overnight. NOAA says it will heat up to 72 today. Organizing things to head to camp on Saturday morning. Would have left tonight but her schedule is lengthy today. Looked at a used log splitter parked along side of the road last night. May look at it today and its a Speedco 25 ton if anyone cares.

They woke for breakfast, then resumed their position. Once in awhile they move to a cooler spot to cool off, then come back to crash here.

Hopefully moving two cords of wood this afternoon or tomorrow, if work schedule allows me the time.

35F and clear @ 07:45, calling for a high of around 65F for the day.

Unfortunately I probably won’t see much of it as I need a nap.

Water heater is plumbed in, fired up, and heating its first tankful.

Stuck a tee on the cold water input side and stubbed it out so I can install a tempering valve later.

Gas line and valve checked for leaks and passed.

No leaks on any of the sweat joints.

Initially slight seeps on the FIP threads on the dielectric unions on both hot and cold sides.

Tightened up the unions quite a bit, seep on the hot side has stopped but still have a slight seep on the cold side … not actually enough to drip a drop after 10 or 15 minutes … so I’m hoping that will seal with a little time.

Need to go look at my eyelids for a while.

Hope everyone has a decent Friday …

Been waiting months for this culvert replacement project to get completed. It cut off direct access to 100 business. They have to do a 6 mile detour. That’s using the gravel road in front of my house. Paved road detour is 10 miles.
Picture shows they may be ready to replace blacktop in next few days. Sure will be nice to not have the traffic, noise and dust.

Let's not forget your other neighbor, Cosmo DiNardo! :p

We have one other member on this forum who was much closer to ground zero on that one, IIRC.

wow, I was in NC at the time and prior had lived in Holland, just outside of Newtown.
had not heard this before.
strange, I was born on Aquetong Road a mile or two down the road.

good morning all
somehow got five pages back

going to work on replanting some mums this morning and then will visit
my housebound friend and then go get an epidural on my hip.
choice of hip or back, they usually won't do both. The hip is the one that hurts when I walk
so trying there first. Maybe he will have some extra...

need to get last of stuff out of rv and then remake the bed.
next week hope to get it to dealer to sell on consignment.
motor oil coming in from Walmart today, and will change oil and filter first since it's
been a year. I enjoy that and not too hard since I can use jacking system of rv to lift up
front end a little.

cool 45 going up to 65 today in sunshine.

Speeco makes the Huskee brand that TSC sold. I have had a 22 for 12 years and it has been great...the B&S engine has been hard to pull-start at times, but I finally figured out the secret combination to get it started quickly.

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 47° heading to a high of 64°. Frost this morning, truck needed a few minutes to clear that up before politely informing me that all 4 tires were low on air. So that's what I'll be doing this afternoon after getting it to work.

Lipoma removal went smoothly, I now have 7 Stitches in my left arm which smart a little. Honestly they used so much of the numbing medication that I didn't feel that whole arm for most of the day. The thing they took out of my arm was larger than I thought, from the surface it looked roughly robin's egg sized but apparently it went deeper than I thought. I'd share a picture, but that for sure wouldn't be advertiser friendly. :p

Grandma is doing better, a shot of steroids to reduce the swelling in her hip. The hard part was keeping her doing nothing for long enough for it to take effect. I'll call her later today and see how she made out since I didn't get to have dinner with her this week.

Girlfriend changed her mind on the other house, so now it's up to me to find something else. We'll get there!

This weekend, heading to the range with my buddy and his wife and then dinner for her birthday. I'm also apparently responsible for him when she goes deer hunting in Missouri, so I'm sure we'll get up to some mischief.

That's about all on tap, just trying to take it slow so I can heal.

Happy Belated Birthday Buppies!
Nice Tractor Sodamo! Someday I hope to have a tractor for every implement. Someday!

Y'all Stay Safe out there and Be well!
Prayers for all Ailing and Recovering!

Morning all, 42 going up to 64 and sunny.
More halloween decorations out, very little time with work running late and sun setting earlier each day.
Winterdeere I remember driving past Cosmos Parents place many times. So sad, parents sold the place not long after, some of the ponies are now over at my neighbors down the street.

Lots to do, be well.
