Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.3C and it's presently 19.2C, mostly clear with a gentle breeze.

Yesterday's dhobi done, plus I gave myself a haircut. Exciting times, for sure. 😐

Looks like I'll get out there and do some more clean-up. The 'Liars' are predicting a windy day on Sunday.

That's about it, take care all.

42F and clear @ 21:30, calling for a low of 35F overnight. Yesterday's Frost Warning has been extended until tomorrow morning.

Woman and I tag-teamed on the tamping which went very well.

Got 2 more empty holes completely filled to within an inch of grade and tamped. Also filled and tamped another that was 3/4 full.

After that did a little pumpkin and winter squash harvesting.

Clockwise from left: 1 Honey Baby (the small one), the Guatemalan Blue, another Hubbard Golden, 2 Kentucky Field pumpkins and a pair of Mammoth Gold pumpkins:

IMG_3887 copy.jpg

Still have more Honey Babys and the Small Sugars to harvest tomorrow.

More egg foo young for dinner and then a quick run over to Home Depot for a couple fittings.

Another Watham Butternut was out of the oven by the time I got back so had that with butter and brown sugar for desert.

Heading down to the basement after this post to see if I can finish the plumbing on the new water heater and get it up and running.

imagine though, what would you do knowing a neighbor is on the fringe like that.

One of the neighbors that moved out a few years back before we bought here was known mafia.
Let's not forget your other neighbor, Cosmo DiNardo! :p

We have one other member on this forum who was much closer to ground zero on that one, IIRC.

Coffee is brewing. 34° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 63° with lots of sun. Yesterday's rain got us .01" of rain. Neighbor want to know if I wanted to go with him to Cabela's in Dundee MI. Of course it did. Haven't been there since I sold my boat. Then we stopped at TSC across the road. Had a nice lunch while out. When I got home another neighbor needed some large rock moved. Got some seat time. Grocery shopping this morning. Then back to yesterday's projects.
Doves are not happy I covered pond with nets.

David, (sodamo) nice tractor. 🚜 Is the LS gone?

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.
Not yet, goal is to get it spiffed up along with my old flail and available by end of month.

Morning all, 42 going up to 62 and sunny.
Needed to put in 2 t-posts, ground is so hard and dry that using the tractor they were starting to bend vs. go in. These are the thick metal ones. Last time I tried to use the tractor they went in easily. Ended up on a ladder with my 4lb sledgehammer to get them in a bit more.
That ground is dry and like a rock.

We were able to get tickets to see John Cleese at the Keswick theatre, I have always wanted to see him.

Happy birthday Buppies , hoping you and Holly get some more good memories.

Wow Sodamo, a cab, so does that mean you can mow in the rain :)

One of our neighbors had a big party last weekend. For the weeks leading up to the party they set up a couple of huge tents, then spent a few weeks building a large aluminum platform which looked to be about 100' square. Then came the walls and ceiling, all clear plastic panels.
This thing was larger than most houses around here. On the day of the party, they had 4 tour buses show up with the guests and had a live band. The spread had to be over an acre and lots of trucks in/out for weeks to build it up.
I have to check and see how fast they break it back down.
Bet that cost more than most people make in a year. The guy that owns that land is pretty famous in the medical world.

Be well,
No Ken, at least not on purpose. Mowing wet grass, wet slopes - not my thing. Shoot, my tractors & riding mowers have had lights, but don’t do after dark either. Privileges of the retired. 😁

Happy Birthday Buppies!

Personally I only celebrate the decade birthdays. #8 is coming next year.

Cat litter dealt with, tractor started as it should, on all three. Resistance on two of the glow plugs was 70 ohms and on the one 1900 ohms. He only replaced the one that was bad.

David, it is my understanding that Bobcat is made by Kiotis' parent company Daedong.
Ya, some sort of a relationship there. Seems my CT4545 is closely related to the Kioti DK series. I was aware and part of my decision process as I was quite pleased with my Ck30 years ago, to the point I sometimes wished I’d kept being pre emissions and all. We sorta have Bobcat dealer presence locally, but not Kioti. The Emissions warranty document in my owners packet is all Kioti.

Coffee has been poured. 39° with light rain this morning. Heading to 66° with cloudy skies and brisk winds. Grocery shopping went good. After they were put away. Got tractor out and cleaned the 2 culverts that cross road to west of my place. I they are not clean. Rain water causes them to over flow unto my front yard. Will see what weather allows me to do today.

Good morning
42° and dark outside. Supposed to be clear skies when the sun comes up. High in the low 60’s.

Yesterday was another day of cleaning up and puttering, no real projects.

Today I’m off to be Raleigh, NC. Have to go there twice today with a long break in between. This is another trip as a copilot in someone else’s plane. I like the total lack of responsibility, and if I only fly with people that I know, there is no concern.

One of the great things about being the captain is that the only stupid decisions I have to put up with are my own.

Good morning TBN!!
42 this morning and mid 70s this after noon under mostly sunny sky.

Started putting the new harness back in the buggy and then went off a tangent in the google rabbit hole. Finally figured out the make of my buggy and found the mfg. tag but it yielded no info as it was worn off and painted over. Apparently It wasn't embossed as I could see nothing, but it has some very distinctive features for ID.
Not too sure about today. May turn my attention back to my 4x2 as I would like to have them both ready to go for the winter months. Have I mentioned I hate electrics! Give me mechanical problems anytime!
Got some walking time and called it a day.

Time for a second cup.
Everybody have a great and safe day!!

Good Tractor Morning Happy,
Also my Win 11 computer came in but haven't opened it yet
Happy, being the curious nosey person that I am 😃, what did you end up buying ? My kids bought me a Lenovo Idea Pad 3 a couple of years ago. Nice unit, pretty happy with it. Probably has way more power than I will ever need.

Have a nice day 🙏

Good Tractor Morning Paul,
I’m very curious how the plane landed with a flat tire ? Des the pilot need to do something different when landing a plane like that ? Keeping the nose slightly higher ?

Have a safe flight to Raleigh today 🙏

Good Tractor Morning,
Vt, 34 to start going to 52. Good trip up to Vermont yesterday afternoon. Got here in time to see the sunset, which wasn’t spectacular but still pleasant but without some cloud cover it’s just nice.

Couple bridges under reconstruction on the way up, one on the south side of Cambridge,Ny, comments Lou , that seems to be taking forever. And then another one on the road leading up to our mountain top on East Wells Rd, is down to one lane. Slows things up a bit with long red to green light delay times.

David, how about some more pictures of the new tractor and flail 😃

The lawn up here looks like it could use one last mow before I clean the deck and take the battery out for the winter.

Hey, I brought my portable radio gear and if and when it warms up enough I will activate Lake St. Catherine state park. Sounds like rain coming in Monday so I’m guessing some shop time is in order. If I remember I was working on the rocker back spindles.

Sitting in front of the of the wood stove this morning with a nice cup of coffee, so a nice start to the day so far. 😃

Buppies I’m sorry, I thought it was Holly’s birthday , so Happy Birthday to you 🎊🎉🎂

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

I have been into computers for years. Even built my self a water cooled at one time.
Decided to cheap out and just get a mini this time. Blackview Win 11 pro w/16 gigs of ram and capable of multi display with 512 SSD. Bought a 1 tb SSD to upgrade the storage. Just a garage computer that I only surf on.
Got to get it set up. 10 expires soon and mine is now a dinosaur.

Well my first post is waiting for moderator approval. I think I found one or two verboten words. I did an edit, so hopefully will pass muster.

Here it is cut and pasted...

39, but was 36 when I first got up at 3am. Must be some warmer air blowing in. Heading for 66.

Real nice cab tractor, Sodamo. You deserve it.

Scotty, I'm close to starting up our stove...need to clean the chimney first.

Took Della and my wife to hike up one of very favorite mountains yesterday...an easy hike but spectacular 360 degree view for a 4000 footer. Then we stopped at a winery.
