Good morning TBN!!
58 this morning going to the upper 70s and sunny.

Easy day yesterday. Puttered, tinkered, and relaxed.
Tinkered on the buggy a few minutes. Need to do some line testing but turns out I need to measure AC and my meter only does DC. Ordered another meter from Klein Tools. Should be here tomorrow.
Nothing really on the agenda for today.
Will wait and see :)

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good Morning
44° outside, nice and comfy in the Old Folks Home, without any heat on. This place is super insulated and very tight. Which reminds me that I have to get the ERV installed that is sitting in the attic.
High in the upper 60’s and partly cloudy skies for the day.

Yesterday started with dropping the Prius off for som new sneakers and an alignment. This one was past its prime, and not obvious because of the alignment issues, the major wear was on the inside.

All better now!

The hoist uses a HF ATV winch powered by a couple of Milwaukee M18 batteries that fit into 3D printed mounts.

Here is the new unit on its way down

And the old one coming out

The hoist was a rousing success, a little time consuming getting the cribbing in place to mount the I beam, but not a scratch to the beautifully restored farmhouse or the unit.

I had hoped to try and fire up the resurrected model airplane engine, but the day just slipped by. Maybe today after the new geothermal heat pump is all connected and running. Fortunately my buddy the mechanical contractor is doing all the work, and the customer is my oldest son, so I can come and go as I please. My major contribution was figuring out how to swap the units without hurting anyone or anything.

Club meeting at the RC field this evening, we shall see what happens between now and then. Lots of possibilities.

47 outside right now, heading to lower 70's today.

Late starts this AM on the home front due to real jobs in the wee early morning hours. We work best when no one is around. LOL. Get to try new things and only one person to blame. What could possibly go wrong? LOL.

Anyway, catchup mode on the chores and animals. Pool closing is today, I recall getting in it maybe a half dozen times this season. That's an improvement from the last few years, but not where I want to be. More is better.

Leaves are starting to come down with the cooler weather now. Dogwood by the side of the house is berries only. I think it got stressed from the continuing drought this year. Hornet nest activity has slowed. Will collect that nest when winter is at its peak.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

good morning, 48 going to 71

Happy birthday Paul and anniversary David

Descaled the Mocamaster using the Gevalia Cleancaf cleaner and descaler. It is done after a box of 100 filters is used up

Paul, I have the same welding and plasma equipment but it is patiently waiting in the boxes for completing the welding shop to get it set up

Mowed the meadow tree plantings areas with tall brush and grass with the ZT. Hit a few branches hiding in the tall grass that it chewed up no problem but developed a high pitch noise coming from the mower deck. Checked out the spindles and found no issues and gearbox was not overly hot. Discovered some dents on one of the spindle shields above the blade and it rubbed on the hub on the inside and wiggling it sure enough that is where it comes from. Blades are due to be sharpened soon anyway so will take out the dents with a hammer on the horn of the anvil

Morning all, 48 to 70 and partly cloudy.
Spent some time watering yesterday, picked up wife's car from inspection, no issues.
Today need to split some firewood. Left the splitter without gas so need to do startup and check oil.
Found woolly aphids on the new apple tree. Sprayed and left for a day then used spot sprayer to knock them down. That poor baby tree keeps having stuff happen to it. Peach tree is doing fine.

Ordered new blades and some small parts for the JD x360

Back to the day job, be well.

Leaves everywhere, can't wait for the trees to really start dropping.
