Ken, I took it down. I don't know what is going on with you tube. I marked the video as only for those over 18 because of the occasional swearing. None in this video though.

BEF, Yes! Wear the 'Hang 'em High' shirt. Or If you have one that says, 'they are all guilty, let G-d sort them out', that would go over good too. Or how about, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone'.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.7C and it's presently 11.9C, overcast with rain & fairly calm. There was 1.9mm in the gauge @0900. It's still raining.

A very busy day yesterday; first up was the income tax appointment, which was pretty much 'in'n'out'. That left me time to go over to the hardware store to get a couple of long bolts to repair a slat on an outside bench on the Church grounds. I finished that job and was home by noon.

Seeing as I was 'dressed', I decided to do the Launceston trip then instead of waiting for today, especially as rain was predicted. Left, after a quick lunch, @1230 & home by 1740.

So, yes, once again I've been dragged "kicking and screaming into the 21st Century" with a new TV sound bar. Seeing as I was there and I knew that my 25" computer monitor was equally 23yo, I bought a new 27" monitor.

Very nice to receive a Veteran discount on both purchases.

So, today (arvo) will be spent swapping the new for the old. Hopefully the 'air' will not become too blue during the process. ;)

That's about it, take care all.

58F and clear @ 22:00, supposedly heading down to around 53F for the overnight low.

Gave the post hole another shot first thing, didn't seem inclined to go much deeper so I called it good.

Grade at that hole is at the lowest point ... so in theory it shouldn't have to be drilled as deep ... if I am going to fill in around it and raise the grade there.

After that I swapped the bucket for the forks and grabbed the next round pole and brought it back.

Got the pole set and braced and then filled in around it in 3" to 6" lifts, compacting each lift as I went:

IMG_3879 copy.jpg

Took a break while doing that and headed over and watered the arbs, 2 gallons each.

Took another break a little later and went up and refilled the hopper feeder and both tube feeders.

Set a couple of screws on each post @ 3' and 6' from the top which will be used for string lines, also 1 on each @ 8' down to mark where grade should be.

Worked on building up dirt around the posts to grade after that.

Knocked off shortly after sunset and came up to the house and gathered up the trash.

Woman had to go pick up a 'script so She picked up KFC on the way home for dinner along with some groceries.

She also had to drop by the neighbor's, who is on vacation, to set her trash out.

I helped unload the groceries when She got here and She took the trash up to the cans at the road and then headed over to the neighbor's to set hers out.

Time for a shower and then kick back.

Hope everyone had a decent day ... (y)

Good evening all. 60ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 84ºF. All the day forecast is above average temps and no rain :( Made coffee to start day, cleaning lady prep, cleaning ladies showed on time, bike ride when they finished, mowed back yard and found 5 balls. Nap, then got call from tax people, had some forms to take care for wife's trust tonight.
Ron glad pond maintenance is done. Sorry about leaks, glad lubing o-rings corrected leak. Sorry nothing could entice you to buy it. Sorry to hear about Harvey, I think he only lives 1 county east of me. Glad he is recovering. Pretty flowers

Scott(vt) hope cut up old decking and stove work went well and you and Kathleen had nice boat ride. Hope you get mowing time tomorrow.
Drew hope you got your agenda done. I wonder if your brother changed tires if he would have fewer flats. I changed tires on bike and went from 2 or 3 flats per month to 0 or 1 flat per year. Interesting thoughts on insurance.
Paul I understand what what you are saying. I just wish the other side was as tolerant as us.
Drew thanks for info on car insurance.
Thomas sorry deer decided Mrs flower garden too tasty to pass up. Hope leaf control went well and you found something interesting to do.

Ken glad son helped with pool cover. Hope you had good visit with son. I only got to Costco store 1 or 2 times a year, do some ordering online.
WinterDeere I can see where pushung 100-200 lbs blowers would get old quick. I had 3 acres in St. Charles County MO that was all hill and used a riding mower as a blower.
Mike hope you get to enjoy your time at home. Congrats on surviving 12 hours on equipment.
Billy glad you were able to take trip to orchard. Sounds like a fun place to visit. Hope b-day party went well. Hope mowing went well. I understand about the fantasy leagues, frequent topic of discussion at Wednesday group dinner. Congrats on all three teams trophied.

David I am impressed you can cut Sophie's well enough to keep her happy! hope HH and freight pickup went well.
Bill glad good trip to North Bay.
Frits glad wife's appointments went well and daughter helped with the driving. Hope she can get the certifications soon. Glad GD still doing well. Hope she can find job that be flexible enough not to hut her grades.
Dennis the shirt is almost as good as having lawyer as relative :) Glad yard mowed.
Billy was on call for Jury duty in US district court for over a year, never served on jury.
Dennis I'll bet you would not get selected if you know him.
Scott(vt) glad to hear you completed your agenda for today. Thanks for pic.
Thomas glad good day with backpack blower. Hope you were to bed early.
Scott(vt) even nicer pic!
Dennis hope she doesn't find the third burger.
Bill I suspect the over 18 rating may interfere with out of YouTube viewing. All good shirts to wear to FD selection.

Drinking hot coffee. 49° with clear skies. Heading to 81° with sunny skies. Sharpened blades on JD mower. Kubota has Gator G6 blades. They did not need sharpening. After grass dried I cut front grass. Spent time on back porch enjoying a cool breeze. Not sure what I will get into today. Need to check To-Do list.
Some birds do not like to have their picture taken.

good morning all
up early enjoying my coffee

Wagtail, bet you are going to enjoy your sound bar, usually sounds way better than tv alone

high of 80 today, then weather looks to cool off a little.
I have all my trip food shopping to do today, senior day at supermarket.
next food shopping will be at Walmart in Myrtle Beach next week.

then a trip over to apple orchard where I'm going to stock up on a lot of apples.
2 dollars a pound if you buy ten pounds and I'll probably head South with twenty pounds of apples.
Have three families waiting for my apples in NC, they all got them last year.
And for my two older ladies I visit, probably get them a box of chocolates also.
Might be the last time I ever see them, realistically.

Good Morning,
Vt, 51 to start going to 68. Looks to be another beautiful day albeit a bit cooler than yesterday.

So nice this morning to come down stairs and bump the thermostat up and have the stove come on the way it’s supposed to 😉🙏

Need to clean the mower deck on the Z Turn and remove the battery for the winter. I think the grass is pretty much done growing for the year. 🙏

I will try and get a chunk of the field out front mowed this morning. Should be cool enough, although my old Massey Feeguson does suck some fuel.

Wondering what you guys use for spraying for bees and insects around the house ? My friend suggested Telstar P , I believe, do any of you guys use that ?

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

Good morning, the low is 53 and going up to 63°F. Wind NE 11 gusting to 25 mph. Sunny!

I get to loctite my nuts on today and then go and level out the neighbour ladies pad.
I have a low spot I need to scrape some pit run into here, but I will do that when I get back.

The cold start video works, now.

Have a safe day all

66 and stopped drizzling...going to 75. Looks like tomorrow will bring a real change in the weather.

Sounds like a lot of us are getting ready for autumn to turn into winter.

Scotty, nice pic of that Vermont sky.

Yesterday took Della for a hike and swim...someone had taped a note to the trail sign saying they had encountered a bear the day before...we searched everywhere but didn't see any. Plenty of acorns, hickory nuts and grapes on the trail for a smorgasbord.

Now that I have my deceased MIL's SSA-1099 I was able to complete her taxes last night. Turbo T wouldn't let me file them electronically since extra forms must be sent, which it provided for me to complete electronically. I continue to be disappointed with how TT handles anything out of the ordinary...even filing an extension last April could not be done through their s/w. Good for basics, but clumsy for other, especially using for state taxes...guess if I moved to Tennessee, I wouldn't have to worry about it...and TN has good mountains. Oh well.
