Good morning!!!!

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.1C and it's presently 16.7C, mostly sunny [at the moment] with a steady breeze. It rained this morning = 1.2mm in the gauge with more predicted this arvo.

Dhobi done yesterday, pretty much during the 'time' allotted... it's using the dryer that uses the most power.

I also made a quick Doctor's appointment at our local clinic for a niggling 'personal' problem. ;) They can fit me in today at 1545, so "Yay".

That's about it, take care all.
Wag, how do you manage to get 3 hours of free electricity? Pretty nice.
My State power company offers these one-only 3-hour blocks during a weekend or so. You need to have one of those 'transmitting' meters AND personally log-on to their website to select your 'block'.

They don't do it all of the time but will alert me via email when it happens.

Tassie "makes" a lot of hydro-electricity which gets sold to the mainland grid so I guess 'we' reap the benefits... There're only around 576,000 people in this entire island State.

Very understandable. Unexpected death is always a shock to me as well. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Unexpected death reminds me to hug the family, and try to do more with my limited number of seconds on the planet.

All the best,

Peter

Coffee is brewing. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 77° with mostly sunny skies. Grocery shopping went good. After putting them away got started on shrub trimming. Got it completed. Then cleaned up the trimmings. See a few spots that need a touch up. That will have to wait. New filter came in. Going to get water lines fixed for pond today. Think I have everything down in cellar for the project.

good morning all
should be a nice warm day today, sunny and in low 80's. We have warm weather here
for next three or four days then it looks like cooling off is coming.

disappointed by no rain, well a whopping .12
that makes the lawn greener but nothing else

packed a nice basket of veggies to take to a friend for lunch today. Tomatoes, sweet pepper and winter squash.
She loves to tell the story of March 1950 when she was a little girl and her mom stopped at only stop light in town, and my
father was coming the other way. She remembers my father waving and saying "it's a boy".
She is my only remaining friend that held me in her arms while I was a baby. 75 years ago.

She and her sister were neighbors growing up and they would ride their bicycles down to our farm and go
swimming in our pool. She lost her older sister last year so I try to keep in touch with her.
I expect lunch will be awesome homemade soup and "magic" muffins, usually carrot, something very healthy with no sugar in it.
otherwise she is a super nice, super gentle older "hippy" lady that I think some of us can relate to.

Dennis, very sorry you lost your friend.
not sure of details but I think all intersections should be considered dangerous unless proven otherwise.
We have a lot of four way stops locally and I see folks drive through them occasionally. Which is why I keep a dash
cam running. Not safe to always assume other guy will stop.

I hope you all have a great day.

Don, did your Ranger get recalled for a bad door airbag?
apparently the bag works fine but when it blows up, hits a sharp edge on the door
and pops the bag too soon, so reduced safety. I'd keep driving...
Ford's recall woes continue

25% tariff on imported trucks just announced is going to change the landscape
somehow no matter what we are told by whom, it always winds up costing us more money
I'm still waiting to understand the benefit to anyone in this area.
one has to wonder if the benefit to the few outweighs the cost to the many, which I guess is
a question we ask about many things, including freedom and issues of law and order.
Sounds like a college Ethics 101 course.
what is reasonable to maintain social structure and avoid anarchy?

a topic that could easily get out of hand.
