appliance guy worked steadily for two hours and got the new GE dishwasher installed.
old one was hard wired; he asked if I wanted a plug and I said yes, so we installed a receptacle under sink.
Now I can get a surge protector on that outlet and protect the electronics from the next surge.

had power turned off in house all that time and it got hot in here in afternoon sun, a/c slowly bringing temps down
half the breakers in panel box not marked so no idea how to throw just that one circuit off.

visit with primary doc was no surprise, got scrip for CT scan which I'll call tomorrow to schedule
long day, not much fun, ready to go horizontal and read my book

On this day in 2001, I was in Goose Bay Labrador, my stay ended up being extended. It was a week before I got back home.
The airport at Goose Bay was in chaos, airplanes coming from Europe for the US were diverting to either Goose Bay or St. John’s. Goose Bay was especially ill prepared for the onslaught, lacking both ground support equipment and enough customs and immigration officers.

Had reports today that 2 of the people that also got stung got really sick, throwing up and feeling really bad. I must not be allergic to the bumble bee's toxins - just swelling and itching here. Another one of the persons that lost their glasses is using my metal detector to try to locate them. No word so she must have been unsuccessful.

Good evening all. 61ºF for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light wind, mostly clear sky, and high temp was 92ºF, HI 95ºF. made coffee to start day, office work, bike maintenance, started bike rid on Peugeot, chain broke, friend gave me and bike ride home. Mounted new back up speedo, got wheel factor close after two laps, Did get to find riding buddy on road second lap, but in peak heat of day. Did get nap in., and knocked out most of month bills after dinner. The reality of Charlie Kirk's death started to sink in and anniversary of 9-11 cast a negative vibe on the day.

good morning all
up early, drinking my coffee
looks to be nice day, 55 going up to 81 today in sun and clouds.
hope to work outside today after I get on phone this morning to make appt for CT
on my hip.

My visit with primary doc not good yesterday. I honestly don't like the guy, he is condescending, thinks
I'm a fat slob for not being thin as a rail, that I'm lazy for not starting my day with hours of exercise, etc.
and when I showed up for a consult on the latest mri, he hadn't even read it yet. Just not a good feeling, but his office
gets the appts made and the scrips filled; it's his personality I have come to not enjoy over the years. My oncologist, cardiologist and
endocrinologist are all really nice people who never talk down to me. My primary has a specialty in ortho and aging, well that's me to a T.
Maybe it's the doc's heavily slicked down hair...oh well

fiddled with my new hand blade file yesterday, sharpened the new mower blade that came in, took the paint off the cutting
edge basically. Seems to work nicely, and I sharpened a pair of garden shears too. Have always found sharpening knives to be
very satisfying.

Good morning TBN!!
53 this morning and the sun is starting to rise on another promised beautiful day.

Worked on my buggy a good part of the day. Finished with the stator replacement and started sorting out the new harness. Just a putter kind of day.
Today is errand running day. Pick up some Rx's for the wife some banking and grocery shopping.
Then I am going to preview an auction I will probably go to tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!
