Good morning!!!!

Good Morning,
Ct, 45 this morning to start and going to 70 or so. We did get a pretty fair amount of rain yesterday, I believe it was over 1.5”.

We are leaving for Vt on Wednesday afternoon, and I will be removing the old decking on the porch and replacing with the Trex. Hopefully that goes well with no major issues.

If I was like Dennis, it would have been done already, of course the Vt house is 176 miles away 😉

Plans for today are to build a storage rack for the front of the garage, where the Farmall Super A used to be. I’m trying to get everything off the floor so Kathleen can park her car in there during the winter snow season. Hoping to find a little radio time also. Thinking I will probably work tomorrow or Wednesday morning. So not a lot of time here this week before heading north.

Hope all have a great start to their week 🙏

good morning all
brrr, 50 out now going up to mid 70's today.
I'm heading out early to drop off the mri cd and report to my oncologist; I want his read on this
since if I have an accumulation of fluid, where did it come from? He is my only doc who reads the scans himself; otherwise
they simply accept whatever the radiologist says.

Ron, hope you are feeling good this morning.
Ted, the relief you must have...all good. Sure reminds you to make the most of every day.

time for more coffee and a hot shower

Phil must be working on something amazing, haven't seen his woodworking this week.

Scott, getting your wife's car inside for the winter is a really nice thing
I sure hate scraping ice

reminds me I have to make plans to store rv offsite this winter so I can get my own car into the garage.
had hoped it would be sold by now. I have gotten three responses, all AI driven spam kicked off by a new online listing.
Hi, I like your unit, would you call me at xyz
so far it's always fake and the fakes are getting better

hope you all have a great day

Good Morning from Central Texas
At 5am, 70.0 degrees and 66.9 dew point. Too many clouds to get a good look at the Full Moon.
The USAF has begun testing on the new SAOC (Survivable Airborne Operations Center) platform. It begins with a Boeing 747-8l transforming into the name E-4C after mod's. This is a replacement for the E-4B platforms which entered service in the 1970's.
A.K.A. the doomsday platform / aircraft, the upgraded E-4C aircraft will provide survivable airborne command and control for national leadership in crisis situations, replacing the aging E-4B fleet and ensuring continuity of operations.

this is for Don to report to his vegan friends, about Mercedes new EV suv interior:

Mercedes is also touting the availability of an industry first: an interior certified by The Vegan Society. Not that this is much of a technological leap; cloth (as found on the base GLC) and synthetic leather (as found on most models) are vegan materials, but the so-called Vegan package guarantees that no materials used in the interior, including adhesives, dyes, and carpets, are derived from animals. We checked out the Vegan package, and it looked and felt no different to us than any other synthetic leather and suede upholstery. Those who feel the planet is overpopulated with animals, particularly those made of beef, will be able to get genuine leather in higher trims and with the AMG Line package.

remember the beginning, with naugahyde?
pretty sure the cream colored leather in my Lexus is fake. Leather was an option but mine is a base model.

the smell of real leather is nice.
My 2004 Jag XJR's black leather was wonderfully soft. And needy, had to feed it with hide "food".
I loved opening the door and just smelling the inside.
car like that had to be garaged; the wood and leather would get wrecked by the sun.

we always had slippery vinyl seats in station wagons growing up, sweaty affairs in hot weather

my idea of perfection is the wool interior Toyota uses on their high end cars in Japan.
Volvo is putting a toe in the water on cloth interiors also. Always an issue if you have kids or pets.

Good Morning,

Thomas, we should know better by now 😉

GM Ted, wow what fantastic news 🙏 Thanks for updating all of us 🙏

Ron, so sorry to hear about your accident and hope you heal quickly.
It had to make you feel pretty good when they were surprised that you were really that age, and didn’t look it 😉
Took awhile to figure out what was going on. Dr had to double check my birth date. He thought I was around 65. I said thank you!

47 outside this AM, heading to mid 70's. Chilly....LOL.

No overnight company, managed to catch up on some football last night. Forgot it was the start of the season. Slowly losing interest.

Yesterday while walking not my dog noticed some monarch caterpillars in the back forty area we let Mother Nature reclaim a few years back. That was a nice surprise. As was another tree down over the creek and onto the trail. Yet more firewood.

Back to the real job this week.

Hope all have a great day, be safe as always.

has anyone else got their heating oil prebuy notice yet?
mine came in a 3.09 a gallon; up from last year a little
How have you done on those pre-buys in recent years? I used to do it every year, 1000 gallons oil to supplement our 6 - 10 cords of firewood and heat pumps. But in the 2014/15 season, and even worse in the 2019/20 season, the prices fell so much during heating season as to completely reverse the cumulative savings of the remainder of the decade. After that, I decided it wasn't worth the headache.

Good morning TBN!!
52 this morning going to the mid 70s with low humidity. The whole week is supposed to be cooler then out average of 86. Looking forward to it.

Puttered in the garage all day. Still trying to get the geometry right on the lift point for the scrape blade. I sure am glad I converted cherry picker and press to air over hydro. Would have been a lot of hand pumping of jacks going on.
No agenda today. I'll just have to wait and see. :)

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!
