Good morning!!!!

59 but going to touch 90 for the first time in a while. Finally got a little rain...two storms added up to about a quarter of an inch, but got 2 nice rainbows out of it.

Buppies, I found the bear poop in our woods, and rarely take Della there, just around the edge or the fields. But we have still had all the usual animals come near the house since we got her...bears, deer, raccoons, foxes, opossums, coyotes, etc. I guess she doesn't emit a scary scent.

Son and granddaughter coming tonight for several days...his wife is in Peru and he wants my wife's help with babysitting...and she loves it. I'll enjoy it too, of course. We have a trip to watch the Orioles/Dodgers play and a big mountain hike planned. Della likes it, too, since he'll bring their two dogs.

some car stuff:
those of you who have a heads up display in your car will appreciate this
I think HUD is wonderful because I don't have to move my eyesight off the road.
Last two cars had it, this one doesn't, and I miss it.

well it's now being kicked up to a whole new level.
HUD is a little movie projector of sorts, displaying your speed (and sometimes the speed limit) on your screen.
BMW has now taken that idea and is starting what I think will be a new trend in cars.
Your gauges won't be in the dash any more. They will be projected up onto the glass.
I'm sure it's cheaper that way too....though notice BMW has to blacken that glass area to get it to work, which clearly
is a no no higher up.

in heaven I'll have a panel of about a dozen easy to read VDO gauges please
instead...like in Star Trek, we'll be waving our hands around and virtual reality gizmos will
connect us and drive us. Well our kids, probably not us.

cars are no longer cars and means of transportation; they are rolling entertainment pods
no wonder they cost so much. And with the recall rate of modern cars and trucks, pretty clear
all that complexity has come at a real cost to reliability.

these huge car screens are part of the "glass dash" movement that started with planes, now on all the big yachts,
and trickling down to our cars.

techies must love this stuff. Dealerships stay afloat because of it.
the reality is my next older brother still can't figure out what half the buttons and functions do on his
BMW M850, it's all too complicated for him.

when Kubota redesigns their next nice Grand Cab, I bet it has a larger glass dashboard in it, and more screens.

this is why sales are very good for simpler cars like the Ford Maverick pickup.
I bet if we ask RNG how easy it was for him to figure out his new Camry, probably pretty easy.
The German cars seem to be leading the way in complexity as they try to one-up each other.
Lincoln has been putting giant screens in dashboards for several years now. Should be interesting to
see how that works out after warranty.

Good morning TBN!!
58 this morning. .04 in the gauge yesterday with heat and humidity returning. 90 today and tomorrow with late after noon storms possible.

Easy day yesterday mostly putting away tools and cleaning from the truck brake job.
Made a mess of the garage floor walking in brake dust and dismantling the drums.
Have to finish up today and get all the stuff back in to the holes they live in.
No agenda today but no lack of things to choose from either.
Country town garage sale tomorrow. Looking forward to that cause they had good "stuff" last year. Already got my cash and ready to go :) Hate to offer like $5 for a $10 dollar item and then have to ask for change from the $10! LOL So I make sure I have small bills and large just in case.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good morning, the low is 48 and going up to 59°F. Wind ESE 11 gusting to 17 mph. Showers. Raining now. 40 to 50 mph winds later today. Guaranteed no bugs flying.

A dump/town run today, then see what comes up.

Those HUD windshields are uber expensive. I have a buddy that has one in his Pontiac and it got busted.

Have a safe day all

63 outside this AM, heading to upper 80's. If we had rain yesterday (we did) it was quick and only registered visually for a minute. To the north east of us, they look like they got a way lot more. Had a nice rainbow out of it.

Managed to get back from the Doctors with no bad news, but no good news either. Still have that pain on occasion and all are scratching their heads over it. Feels like a groin pull put stops me in my tracks. Was OK for a long while, then started up again. Been real careful lifting things.... Also managed to get an pneumonia shot. Had a bad experience last year with a cold that ended up in the lungs. Not doing that dance again. Overall, should be good for another year....

On the home front, still in design phase for hot tub layout. Not on me, just need to hook it up and get water in it. Noticed our pool got trashed with the "storm" that came through yesterday. Leaves are in drop mode around here. Crunchy dry and no color....

Last day of the work week at the real job, Better get at it. Hope all have a good day. Be safe.

Good morning folks. Its the 40's this am with a brisk NW wind. Got rain overnight and NOAA says the chance is 60% today. Love to get in the garage and do some snow implement work done. Lawn will need to be mowed if it ever dries. A lake boat unloaded road salt off here yesterday so fall is sneaking up on us.
