When my Jeep did a clank , once it was a hub issue, greased and fine.
Other was a front wheel sensor for 4WD, wasn't too expensive if I remember, I had someone replace it. But that was every time I backed up it would clunk, not going forward.

I have a cheap reader if you want to try it. Works with a phone and Bluetooth.

Another good meal at mission BBQ, this time the smoked cheeseburger. Very good. Stopped at HD (town the other direction) and picked up 8 ft Trex Rocky Harbor (right where they said it was), then went to Lowes and picked up 8 ft Trex Foggy Wharf. Neither had the color match screws.
During lunch got a call from the Pipeline people, wanting to remover some overhead electrical lines at the farm, in order to get an excavator in. I told them they are both hot, on same circuit. First pair can be brought down, as I moved the only thing using it last weekend, which was my camera. 2nd pair feeds our well pump, and must stay on. I got ahold of my brother and he drove the hour over, and is there now. He cut power to remove the garage line. They think they can work around the other line.

Put the 2 deck pieces on the deck for my wife to make the decision, she went with HD and Rocky Harbor. I'll cut the gray one for under the door, as it matches siding.
Cool wind today, not motivated to work outside.

Bill, that would not cause complete loss of power
but apparently a CDF clutch cylinder, whatever that is, is next in line
dealer is quite happy to put more parts in
I'm not aware of any lawsuits but there is a service bulletin about the cdf clutch cylinder failing in the transmission and needing to be replaced and it sounds like that may be your issue and would be covered under warranty.

anyone in the auto business knows of the class action lawsuits on this trans starting two years ago.
this was supposed to be the best of the best trans co-developed by Ford and GM.
there are lots of youtube videos on rebuilding the CDF clutch cylinder, looks expensive.
will cost me 100 bucks

as soon as that happened, I thought no way am I towing with this. Trans is built to fail. I just hope the new part
is better engineered.
I may be saving a half mpg with this trans but I'd rather have a ZF six speed.

Good Afternoon to the Good Morning crowd!

Really had to scroll through a lot of posts so I know how busy everyone has been!

Our weather is moving quickly into spring and we have mountain laurels blooming and bluebonnets popping up.

82°F this afternoon with slight clouds and calm winds. Some rain predicted after 6pm. Had a small hail storm a few nights ago. No damage here but some areas of the Texas Hill Country did get damage.

We had the opportunity to help a couple of folks from the Texas Coastal Bend area who wanted some help with a matter involving how auxiliary dwelling units are handled by cities. That was interesting and should turn out more acceptable to them than it was in the beginning. It was outside our framework a bit but never hurts to try something different.

Also got to help an applicant for a county position move from just an applicant to a finalist for the position. He will be a great asset for his county if they select him.

One of the best things that happened while I've been gone is that some seeds planted 4 years ago have bloomed in a good place and looks like a major change could be coming.

Nothing would surprise me but this is from ssa site

Wow, that might take awhile. But probably a good idea in the long run.

When HD says they have it in stock and it's not on the appropriate shelves, I order it for store pickup. They always seem to find it, probably in the back storage area since no one bothered to put it out. That's how I got my trim pieces for the garage. I went to where it was listed on the shelf and nothing, confirmed by floor staff, but found when I did a pick up in store order. Not a very good system of restocking in many of their stores it seems for less purchased items.
I have experienced this same thing at HD.

Hoping everyone has sunny weather and fair breezes this week! Prayers for our Nation!

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 15.4C and it's presently 20.4C, partly sunny & fairly calm.

A lovely day was had yesterday and all tasks were accomplished. It turns out that the Wine Faeries sent me a 14 bottle case. <woo HOO!> All of the wines were from the State of Victoria. Veteran Coffee went well and, yes, I confirmed that I'd be the ANZAC Day Parade Commander (25th April). Groceries bought and arvo trip to Ansons Bay.

Today will involve more travelling and sign erection. I should finish that by tomorrow.

That's about it, take care all.
