33°F and light snow this morning, only going up to 40° today. Just a dusting today, but tomorrow we've been promised a mix of snow and sleet up to 3". Yay us!
Drew, the high school I attended in Granite City IL had two gigantic parking lots, one in front and one in back. That's exactly where my father took me to learn to control a car on snow and ice ... as did many in town. The local constabulary said they'd much rather we learn there than out on the roads.

by the time I got a drivers license, I had been driving several years on the farm... No parking lot, just our narrow 1 lane road with a creek on one side, big hill in the middle with a turn. Got hung up in snow many times, sometimes had to park the car and walk home. Drove like the Duke Boys in my younger days, just keep it between the ditches...

No snow here yet. Watching the VA traffic cameras down I81, it's snowing good down near the old lot. some in Harrisonburg, but just starting up near Strasburg area. Roads just look wet for now. My son took the day off.
