snow began at 2:30 pm, son wishes he had gone to work, could have gotten a half day in.

Also on another somber note, I received a text from my oldest son the other night informing me that a friend of mine through the FD had committed suicide ! He had not been active for many years and had medical issues along with a life that wasn’t going well for him ! I would like to remember the good times we had at the musters years ago ! Very difficult for the family !

I surrender. The snow is coming down. Truck wiped out in front of house on road. Driver left with police. Truck has flashers on and is blocking half of road.
Roads are bad. Lots of road closures.
Now calling for 12 inches.it is messy here.

...edit...it is a snow plow off the road. Unbelievable....

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low was a balmy 20.6C and it's presently a humid 23.6C, overcast with a wee breeze. There was 8.0mm in the gauge @ 0900.

It's 'into town' day. The "Wine Faeries" have dropped off a couple of cases at the PO and I'll need to stop off at Services Tasmania IOT pay my annual rego on my ute. That will be heavily discounted due to my Concession Card AND an 'in person' form regarding my Veteran status driving a non-commercial ute.

I'll need to top-up on petrol, then grocery shopping.

This arvo (or sometime this week) there's a small repair to be done on a door on one of the Church's out-buildings. Just some epoxy & a few nails should take care of that. At least it's not another toilet problem.

We've gotten 6 inches so far...still coming down. I drove to the Battlefield park about 2pm...roads bad coming home.
