Coffee is brewing. 35° with light rain this morning. Heading to 38° with occasional rain. TV pickup at Sam's Club went well. Picked up a few things for New Years Eve dinner while there. Neighbor came over and helped with removal of old TV and install of new one. Spent some time installing APPS so it matches Living room TV. Finished off left over Christmas dinner. Going to try and finish whole house filter install today.
Hide and seek does not work good with no leaves on trees.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
up early, slept well, enjoying first cup of coffee.
friend gave me an electric coffee cup for Christmas.
It works but only keeps coffee warm, not hot.
I usually drink the first cup fast enough but might use the mug for the second cup.

started engine and generator on rv yesterday, gen would not start until I threw master power to on.
?? That switch clearly doesn't turn everything off; the autoleveler lights were still on, but after throwing that
rotary power switch to on, gen started right up. Might have been coincidental, it hiccuped and surged due to cold but then
warmed up and smoothed out.

was not able to put solar battery charger on due to frozen snow on windshield. Since it is warming up soon with lots of warm rain, waiting
for that to wash all the snow away, then will install the charger. I've been concerned that someone would steal the panel sitting outside but I found a
small chain lock in garage that will fit through the corner grommets so that might help. Simple bolt cutters would go through it easily but always want to
make the crooks work for it.

Ron, I didn't overeat either, but not by choice. Took a small to regular plate of food and could not get through it, and then felt bloated.
I now see why folks talk about going off Wegovy at holiday time. I actually went home before dessert, just the thought of more food made me queasy.
those pills work, but simply make eating not much fun.

off to food store this morning and then a few errands. No plans for New Years Eve, can never stay up that late.

Christmas weather in East Coast Canada has been perfect. Hovering around freezing, we received about 10 inches of snow that stayed on the ground. One of my daughters made it home for 5 days which made for a great Christmas. Merry Christmas!

A modest pre-dawn look at my wifes Christmas decorating skills while having some coffee. Such great memories. Christ is Born! :)

26 going to 46. Lots of stars shining this morning.

Son and DIL and arrived yesterday and are spending the night. Having a great time with our granddaughter and Della is having fun with their dogs. We'll probably go for a hike before they go home this afternoon.

on Christmas eve local eyeglass place called and said reading glasses were ready.
lost the last pair when they fell out of pocket at some doc office.
worse that pair was almost new, and for the first time, the frames were titanium.
My regular glasses have titanium frames and they seem almost indestructible.

now I'm quite sure the quality of titanium in the frames is not the same as what is used on
jet turbine blades; seems titanium is a custom blend of several metals to form an alloy.
Not sure how much titanium has to be in there to correctly wear that label.

I read a lot on my Kindle and good reading glasses that correct my astigmatism have been a blessing.
a bargain at 150 bucks to not get a headache reading.

and then by random, up pops a how it's made about titanium
8 minutes
interesting they are trying to develop a cleaner manufacturing process; existing one using chlorine
seems nasty, no wonder this stuff is so expensive

Titanium frames are one thing. They are a little light. Problem is with the solder points. Nose pad and hinges.
They are still traditional nickel based metals and are usually a weak point.

Good morning, the low is 27 and going to a high of 37°F. Wind SE 8 mph. 70% chance of flurries. Freezing drizzle expected. Certainly NOT looking forward to that.

If the freezing rain happens, then I have lots of ashes.

Drew, I don't remember when I got my titanium frames nor how much they cost, but I do remember that the place where I get my glasses will put the new lenses in my old frames.

I don't know what I am going to do today, but rest assured it wont be much.

Have a safe day all

33 outside this AM, heading to mid 40's with rain expected later this evening. Looks like the weekend will be a washout too according to the weather reporters.

Here is hoping the hay delivery makes it this AM, guy has been having delivery issues and cannot stick the time. Need it today, not when it is raining.

No plans other than waiting on the above and heading over to neighbors for a good bye party. Her son accepted a job in Colorado, that's got to be tough for the lady as he was the only family in the area.

Have a good day all, and enjoy the weekend, New Years is almost here! Be safe.

I have to deliver hay later today before the rain hits. Customer is appreciative that I never show up in the rain. At least I can skip lifting at the gym tonight…..
