Good morning! Just hit the coldest temp in August right before sunrise. 70˚F, 20% chance of a shower this evening.
Need to get to the paint store early for 2 gallons of "Natural Linen " paint color (an ivory color, darker than what's on the walls now. The ceiling does not have to be painted again but the walls must be complete today.

Sounds like Rigby is having fun...I bet that fence slam would make a good video.
Oh, I wish I had it on video. Wngsprd-- what snake is that?

Rigby earned a "Novice Trick Dog Title" ribbon. He is not enrolled in that class, but twice we have let him watch the other dogs from the sidelines to give him positive exposure around other dogs.

Yesterday, half the class participants did not show. So, the instructor let us into the arena so he could try out the obstacles and challenges. To our surprise he was succeeding at each one without any practice-- we are guessing it was from watching the other dogs from the sidelines and then copying that?

The instructor noticed and said: "wait a minute." She brought out the final exam scoresheet, ran him through about 8 of the challenges, and said he passed the course. Even though he was not enrolled and it will be another 2 weeks before he completes basic puppy obedience. LOL. That was fun, but more important, we are appreciative the instructors and staff have taken extra steps to help break down his fear around other dogs. It is working and he is now having fun with other dogs and pups.

So, I now have a dog that is more polished and accomplished than me! 😄
Everyone have a great day !!!

Morning all, 71 going to 87 and sunny.
Spent a few more hours with trimmer and brushcutter.
Cleaned up lots of stilt and other grasses back where there is still a lot of fallen trees to clean up.
Must have removed a few hundred small autumn olive with the bc . Those are too tough for the trimmer.

Then took the dog for a walk down at peddlars village so she could hang with the other doggies.

Rip - glad you can help Daughter with new house. Hope it is a happy place for her.

Looks like Rigby is a really fast learner Plowhog, and always looks happy.

Hay dude , they are haying some big fields around here, quite a bit of hardware to get the job done. Must be some logistics for you to keep it all working.

Today will work on a table the wife bought. It's scratched up and has some markings. Looks like thin resin, so will probably be a challenge to remove damage without getting through the thin white top layer. Sanding seems off the options list.

Be well,

There is exactly one of these in the whole back area. Wonder how far the seeds traveled as it doesn't seem to have anything a bird/animal would eat. This was surrounded by autumn olive and tall grass. Glad I could isolate it out from that mess.
Deer were back here late afternoon for the free feast of cut grass and leaves.

Knees are doing well. No limping no pain. They are not as good as the originals when I was 20 but a lot better than 65 year old knees. Can’t kneel easily or bend them as far. I’m hoping the shoulder will come out as good as the knees.

Thanks for the report, Don. My knee surgery was scheduled for September 18, but now it has been put off. Don’t know when the new date will be.

still think you need a 6' high chain link fence with concertina wire
Hmm I think I also need a permanent guard for the little escape rascal.

Actually a permanent wood fence construction is underway. Should look nicer but he won't bounce off a wood fence as well as he did with plastic! 😄

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 5:30AM. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 82F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph.
Up north the house saw 3/8" of rain last Friday night. Hope the weeds ignore it.

Xrays show no bone movement.
But the pain is coming from where one of the 2 screws are located.
So do I deal with the pain and hope no more soft tissue damage, or see the bone dr. to have the screws that have been in the bone for 15 years removed...s!
Many years ago a small bone in my wrist broke. It wouldn't heal on its own, so Kaiser surgeon installed a screw to hold the broken ends together. That worked, but three years later the wrist started hurting. X-ray showed that the screw had backed out of the bone and was impinging on the joint. A real surgeon removed the screw and the pain went away after everything healed up. YMMV
But since I'm not here, nothing will freeze then, and no house plants to worry about, think I'll not worry
about switching to heat. Might be a bit nippy when I get home though.
I've had good luck with Honeywell and ecobee WiFi connected thermostats, Drew. Check and change thermostat setting from anywhere with an internet connection.

Doctor tjhis morning, dentist this afternoon, pretty much shoots the day.

Hope everyone gets off to a great start this week.
