Good morning
50° and another sunny day. High in the low 80’s.

Yesterday started with a quick run to HD to get porcelain lamp holders for the attic. Got them installed as well as a breaker for them and the outlets up there. It got real dark up there once the drywall was up. Lights up nicely now.

That’s the only picture that I took yesterday though, I was busy with the sewer line. Dug the trench with the excavator, but there was a lot of hand work around other buried utilities as well as close to the buildings. Not a lot of fun drilling the 5” hole into the concrete pump tank, but it’s all done and back filled. I did all the initial backfill with a shovel so I didn’t disturb the pipe. By the trend of the day that shovel was much heavier than when I first picked it up.

The tile and guy came and got the wonder board on the shower walls, but didn’t start on the wet bed. The drywall finishers were a no show for the second coat, hopefully they will show up today.

I’m planning an easy day today, maybe set up the mesh WiFi or get back to the little plane. Playing music tonight.

good morning, 54 going to 80 nice cool morning with sun and no rain today

Mowing around the house areas today. Spent some time yesterday picking up sticks and branches and cutting them into lengths that could pass through the tree plantings down to the piles in the meadow to rot down hopefully. The Thumb was going over center when retracted and stuck so adjusted the length of the cylinder rod. Did not take much to fix it.

Last time we were in Giddings TX we picked up a 10 year old boy we adopted from a boys home there. It was very hot as I remember as it is in that area of Texas. He had some challenges but is now married and holding a job.

The Perkins engine is 60 years old Drew but likely it was cloned along the way by the Indians as they have with British technology. Nice looking Massey Drew

Got tangled up with responsibilities for a few days and, oh my, how much is going on with everyone!! Good to catch up, read the posts, and hope all are doing well.

FIL diagnosed with advanced cancer, was not doing to well mentally anyway. This may set him on the real fast track to see the lord.

Still trying to get his house in order.

On top of this, the daughters (one of them) is out of touch with reality and is already trying to gold dig.

Also got word, real job contract is up and out. Looks like I will be negotiating for work all over again. Great timing.
That's quite a challenge to juggle all of that. Hope you get it worked out and I am sure you will. I cringe when the gold dig comes out in response to ill health and I have never understood that. The job situation adds a ton of pressure as we all know.

Got back in NV early yesterday. Rigby is now playing with the other puppies in class. Slightly timid but engaging and playing and so nice to see. My wife and I felt like parents sending their kid to kindergarten for the first day and holding our breaths. He gets his final Parvo booster shot today.

Been trying to find where all my energy vanished to. I do a few hours work in the am then wham energy for the day is spent. Very unusual. Wife and I had illness similar to a cold/flu a couple of weeks ago and I'm hoping its just aftermath that will soon go away. Especially since unfinished work is piling up.

50F going to 65F. Wow such a change. Forecast is down to 40F tomorrow morning but then climbing back up to daytimes 90+.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Kyle, need to know what parmesan truffle fries taste like.
before I order a Big Lebowski...
where afterwards with a gurgle I would yell for an AED...

google maps lets you walk around town in a way. Without a car, and I'm not taking that dinky ebike out on the road,
this is my way of exploring the local town. With Street View it's really like walking down the street.
Saturday morning breakfast in Giddings Texas.
get to see what the locals are like. And if they are farmers, all the better.
at the greasy spoon near my farm in NC, this photo was up on the wall and clearly had been there a while

some stuff you can do electronically, but I want to stand in front
of Mt Rushmore and just look at the place and take it all in.
Feel the connection to our country.

Good morning, the low is 58 and going to a high of 75°F. Wind SW 4 mph. Sunny!

The two youngest (3 years old) tom cats are out. They usually go out when I go to get my cereal in the mornings, unless it is raining. They seem to be allergic to rain. ;)

Today might be to put up the Dodge garage roof, but don't hold your breath.

My neighbour that I plow for just changed jobs. He now works for the township we live in. Took a $7.oo/hour cut in pay, keeps all his benefits and plows snow in winter. Saves himself 2 hour drive a day and $200.oo/week in gas. In winter the township doesn't pay overtime for plowing snow, but they give time off in lieu of OT in summer. Win, win. I asked him if he still wants me to plow him out and he said most definitely. Same price as last year is what I am charging him. It only pays for the fuel.

Drew, two things; one there are no mail boxes on my road to knock over. :(
Two, if your freezer will not keep things cold overnight, then it isn't much of a freezer. I for one would NOT be leaving it running on the starting battery when the engine wasn't running. I also would NOT be running the propane while traveling down the road. I don't know about down there, but up here that is a no-no, or at the least was back in the '70s.

Good looking clean up crew you've got there, Ron.
I will bet that they work for grubs.;)

I usually let my 'get up and go' dictate what I might get up to in any given day in summer. In winter the weather tells me what I will be doing.

Have a safe day all

"I leave my propane tank open while driving since it runs the propane/110V fridge."

That was my concern. Didn't want you to find your frozen food in a puddle when you were in the hot spots out west.

After so many years not seeing a dentist I sit here like a death row inmate about to meet his fate.
Should be just a simple dental procedure but after more than a decade without I'm fixating on previous work and pain.
Maybe I'll get a lolli-pop if I'm a good little boy?
Really nice day out there. Going to reach 80F blue skies and sunshine.
Taking my everyday vehicle in for service and a tire leak first thing and dentist this aft.
I'll see how things go after dental visit to plan rest of day.
Good run up to the weekend people.

and I can get some Mexican food to go from Suzy's!
thanks Don
not sure I can park motorhome on the street, question is how far it sticks into right lane.
But I see a public parking area a block away. That could be my backup.
So I'll leave you needing a haircut and head to this place on way to campground in Giddings.
thank goodness for google maps.

I'd park on the parking lot on W. Railroad Row and eat at Reba's.
