I think the device converting AC current to DC usually call inverter.
I bet it is but I think the name is wrong
AC to DC is a converter
DC to AC is an inverter

street power comes into converter, changes to DC for most of rv operations.
Inverter hooked up to house batteries make AC when no street power available
converter usually includes a battery charger to charge house batteries

My visit to my primary care Dr last January gave me a chance to tell him that he was not going to make a 21 year old out of a 81 year old.
