Well the band canceled for the concert tonite. So everything goes back in the freezer, including the 80 burger buns and 80 hot dog buns. Will probably have to replace the lettuce and tomatoes in two weeks, but the rest of the stuff should be OK ! If these storms dont materialize I will be a bit upset ! But I get it, with all the electronic stuff they set up to play !

Wife dragged me out shopping. A horrible experience. I am a grab and go person. My wife shops, even for food. Examines, compares, reads stuff....who does that? LOL.

We are most definitely alike there Mike ! If I go out, I know before I leave the DW where Im going and what Im buying. Like yesterday, I went to Harbor Freight and bought an electric impact gun and a set of heavy duty sockets. Planning on using that to change the anode in the HW heater.

Been flawless for over 5 years? now... got rid of DirecTV.

Mike, not only are we going to save some money, but it got to the point whenever it rained I was losing the picture ! Frustrating when your interested in the program.

We try and stay hydrated, especially me with my urinary problems ! I keep a mug of water and ice in the fridge with a splash of low cal cranberry juice mixed in. It works out pretty well !

Spent a couple of hours in the pool with a couple of the grands, they had a ball as usual !

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.8C and it's presently dipped down to 0.5C (predicted High of 13C), clear & calm.

Yesterday's meeting in Ross went well, although the bakery that sells Eccles cakes was shut for the Winter season. It's just as well as I discovered that I'd left my wallet at home! Oh, well... you only need your driver's license if you're caught, eh? Home by 1430 and found that my woodheater fire had not gone out.

I'm off to Church in a half hour (first time leading Morning Prayer) and then the rest of the day is His.

more water. Buppies....YOU have to force yourself to drink. I drink so much during these heat waves I still have to use the facilities even though I am drenched in sweat. I also do hydrate drinks, and then to mess the system up...beer! Kidding aside, drink a lot of water.

Now, besides drinking plenty of water, I also have a low sodium V8 and I take a magnesium pill - so far so good.

The key to re-hydration is replacing the body's electrolytes... you can drink all the H2O you can and still succumb to de-hydration. We've had Soldiers die in Northern Australia due to not replacing the electrolytes.

Now you know why I wear very little when the temps get over 80°. Go out in the heat? Not far and not for long.

Took about an hour or so, mostly to find some good videos to go with the song, then edit them, and shuffle them around. I made a couple different versions, like this one the best as i put more action shots in it.

Hit 100 today. Heat index definitely higher. After morning chores ended by noon made a pool chemical run to the store. Treated wife to BBQ then returned home to install window a/c in the barn. Yep barn. Gotta keep the critters cool. Cats. Blah....well plus grain and tack. Managed to get two rooms down to about 79 so big improvement.
Now...me chill time...LOL.

He recommended a 3 waters to 1 gatorade ratio.

rsw, I damaged Acetylene regulators using too large rosebuds. The internals don't like acetone being drawn up with the flow. The largest welding bottles can have larger flows. Mine are half size.

Thanks Frits, I did not know this. Been torching all my life and I guess I've been lucky. I do rebuild my own regulators using viton rubber for the seal.

ALL, Linde has a deal right now in Bryan Texas, if you turn in your old broken regulator, they will sell you a new one for about $80-85. Good deal.

Good evening all. 73ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. Light wind, moderate gusts, Clouds cleared off some, and high temp was 94ºF, HI 100ºF. Made coffee to start day ride prep then hit the road on the bike. 77 miles, 6 hours moving time, temps dictated extra stops during later part of ride. Lunch then nap, grilled brats for dinner and chicken for chalupas .

Morning all!
62 going to 85 with pouring rain now and thunder and tornado watch for the afternoon. Looks like an indoor day to me.
Garden is coming along nicely. Need to get out there and give it a good weeding. No food out of it yet but should be soon.
Dentist visit for Monday and then Echo gram of heart Friday. Doc says everyone over 65 gets one now. Easy enough test, 6 hours fasting sucks though!
Estimates on getting one of the apartments prepped and painted are over 8000 bucks! Dam! Wish I had the stamina to still do that stuff!
Nothing else planned so I guess we will see what happens. Still getting the 5 am website glitch.
