We are blessed to have friends like Jim & Kim to trust with our boys and place.

Kinda gone non active on the granddaughter school situation while praying for best.

Thanks to Jim, the Scag and Craftsman mowers rejoin the mowing fleet along side the BX. My LS awaits action from dealer/LS as we are certain it is the ECU. That should be a warranty issue and hope to resolve as such.

Lots of chatter about temps and heat. A major item on our news tonight. And of course it’s “climate change”. Whatever that is.

I’d like to see a bit more transparency, maybe honesty vs fear mongering in the reporting. For example, the reporting cited this as being the most prolonged high temp period in 40 years in major cities. Likely true, but.
Let’s not only compare temps of today vs then but
How many more 98.6° bodies inhabit those same areas?
How many more cubic yards / tons asphalt & Concrete?
How much heat being extracted from inside structures?
How many acres green space trees lost?

Just simple comparisons for sure.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 71° with clouds this morning. Heading to 89° with thunderstorms in afternoon. Back to doing weeding in gardens yesterday. Have been invited out to Coffee, Lunch and Dinner to celebrate another year less in my plan to make it to the Century mark. 18 years left to that goal.

up early, not a great night, going to take it easy today
I think the heat just sucked the energy out of me and it's going up to 94 today
then going over to friends late afternoon for swim and dinner.
They just moved into a new senior community in Hatfield; reminds me I should take them a plant.

my Amazon hearing aids came in yesterday, going to charge them up and see how they work.
Likely just procrastinating before knuckling under and buying 3100 dollar one from audiologist.
that's for one...thankfully one is all I need. My other ear works fine.

Looking at WU site it shows that record temperatures for my area are upper 90’s. Latest forecast shows 91° for highest temperatures. My AC came on yesterday for the first time this year. Other than testing.

70 outside this AM, may touch 90 today. It is a very dry heat so far this summer. There is no dew on the grasses in the AM. I can walk in the pastures and not get my boots wet. It's been like this for a couple of days in a row now. It would be good to do grass work before the sun really beats down later, but then I have other things to do in the AM.

Missed a day and 8-10 pages behind! You folks sure keep busy. Looking forward to Friday

Did keep busy yesterday, put up new curtains in the bedroom for the Mrs which also turned into a major cleaning, new sheets etc. Bathroom also got curtains rugs etc. She apparently had been collecting this stuff for awhile waiting to ambush me when I thought I was going to relax for a day! It made her happy and that’s a good thing.

Time to head out and water before it gets to much hotter.

Mid 70s heading to mid 90s, still looking for the packed weather station.
Chance of rain today.

The dentists noticed a discoloration spot in the roof of my mouth so this morning the oral surgeon will take a biopsy.

Yesterday was a productive day. The blinds were installed and the roof was washed. The blinds are controlled by a wall controller or an app. Part of the app is supposed to be voice control, haven't tried that out yet. One blind was 1/2 too wide and a new one was ordered - always something. The other 6 that did fit look very good and during the daytime you cannot see them. They need recharging once a year for their auto up and down.

really should put some weed and feed down.
the weeds are clearly winning.
but sure burned a bunch!

I need to unroll that hose reel all the way for a few days, let the sun
burn off the mold. It sure will. The hose will be in constant use anyway.
