Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 6:15AM. Mostly sunny. High around 90F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
I call it tunnel vision. I have found things that are in places that I have already looked. I have good vision. But my mind is looking for some other color or position.
I do the same thing way too often, Ron. Sometimes it seems like I spend more time looking for a tool or part than performing the task at hand. Good case of misery loves company.
Glad you got away with the log move with no surprises, PH. Good feeling of relief when something like that finishes, but I've really lost my appetite for those kind of stunts and won't miss them at all once I'm settled in the new place on a cozy quarter acre.
Hope you have good luck with the tractor today, David.
I hadn't noticed the Starlink outages from yesterday as I was still working outside when they happened. Longest was four and a half minutes according to the app. As much of an improvement as Starlink has been here out in the sticks, I won't miss having to put up with poor support and sometimes wonky service.
Got the cul-de-sac and loop road sprayed yesterday, taking far longer than I'd have thought. But used a stronger concentration of RM43 and went really slow. Got through the whole 2 1/2 gallon bottle, and still had to run a load of straight glyphosate to finish. The side-by-side had been having trouble with a coolant leak and overheating, but was flawless yesterday in pretty warm weather. Miraculous healing?
Thought I was done with the little trailer but hadn't hooked the tail lights up yet. Hitched it up and none of the lights worked. After an hour of messing with them I learned that one lead in the trailer somewhere is shorted to ground, and being so late in the day, just gave up. Got the big hydraulic press loaded, but by then it was way past quittin' time and dinner. Gonna have to delay the trip south a day, but that'll let me make a town run and take care of a thing or two more here. Really don't need the trailer lights, as the van is big enough that the trailer doesn't obstruct the view of the van tail lights and I won't be driving at night. Probably could still get a fix it ticket, though. On the plus side, the backup camera on the van can see over the trailer, so I can see where I'm going when in reverse for a change. But trying to get stuff done with most of the proper tools not here is getting old.
Happy Hump Day, folks!
