Good morning!!!!

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 6:45AM. A good deal of sunshine. High 84F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Never did get to mowing yesterday morning, but I did eventually get the bush hog mounted back on the tractor. A buyer came all the way from Lake Shasta for the landscape rake I had for sale, saw the scraper sitting next to it, and went home with that, too. Didn't quibble about price at all, and said he had a new-to-him tractor being delivered next week. I told him about TBN, and to do a search for "how to kill yourself on a tractor" to find out what he's in for. Nice guy.

They guy that was going to buy the big box trailer was an hour late and couldn't make up his mind. Earlier in the day I got an email from another close by buyer, so I called him and he came right over and bought it. He's supposed to pick it up this morning. Sure enough, the original buyer texted he now wants it, but I had to tell him he's too late. He who hesitates is lost.

Somewhere in there I found one of the big stadium lights up at the peak of the roof was dangling by the cord, with the plastic anchors and screws still in the frame. Can't imagine how that happened besides wind. Instead of fixing it, I'll just take it down and plug the holes. Good thing I haven't yet sold the 34' extension ladder, but I expect that'll be next now that I need it for a few days more.

Just heard an odd croaking sort of sound outside and found one of those solar powered birdbath fountains sitting on the BBQ, with a ray of sunshine falling on it. I moved the birdbath south on the last trip, so I'll box up the fountain and take it down on my return.

Gonna start cutting grass as soon as I finish breakfast. Usually try to stay quiet on a Sunday morning, but screw it, I need to get it done and I've never been on good terms with that awful neighbor, anyway.

I'm also for "live and let live". But when polarizing content is force fed through thinly disguised propaganda it is divisive and contrary to traditional American morals. I can think of several cable TV mini series that had as much as a third of the air time occupied by such content, and it did nothing to bolster the plot or enhance the entertainment value. It did the opposite for me, causing me to not finish the rest of the series. I can't help but think the majority of folks out there feel the same; maybe when the ratings come in, sponsors will get the hint and stop advertising on such shows?

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

if I have to keel over, which I will someday, would like it to be in the garden, like the Godfather in the movie.
and I sure will keep an eye on the resident cardinal population, nice pin HayFarmer.

food loaded in rv, taking a break. Need to mow but won't do that until after noon on Sunday.
This is a pretty quiet area and the noise travels. No churches within a quarter mile. Then country churches.
folks with glass packs or no packs should lighten up on Sunday morning.
already the rumble of motorcycles of tourists coming to town. Sun is trying to come out,
nice weather, in they come.

found some nice tuna on sale for 8.99 a pound and got that to marinate and put on grill along
with the white fish my friends are bringing. I bought a couple marinades, need to pick one to use.
I'll do that tomorrow afternoon and the tuna can marinade overnight.
If there was a steak in fishdom I think it would be a tuna. Firm red meat.
And less oily than salmon. After eating salmon feel like I've given myself a lube job.

birds have emptied my feeders again. I think too much is being wasted. Need to get more smaller seedcakes.
three bunnies were frolicking in the back yard earlier, up by the woods. Stay up there kiddos, and out of my lettuce.
which reminds me I have to pick some and give it to neighbor, before the rabbits find it.

miles to go before I sleep.

The powers that be are talking next week sometime. Right leg still pretty weak.
Prayers you get better.
Ron, great shot of those cardinals...like you to told them to stand there and pose.

Kyle, I like your plasma art. Do the students get to keep them?
Billy, sometimes the professor will award one to the student who answers a question first. Since our kids are engineering students, we try to give them some "hands on" experience, but in many cases, we give them demonstrations. They are taught the pro's and con's of plasma vs water jet in their weld lab. They are also offered an in depth welding elective, that many take their senior year. It teaches theory and practices, then they get 2-3 hour labs, to practice what they are taught. We don't intend for them to be welders, we hope they are hired by companies that need engineering talent that knows the theories of welding. They get metallurgy too in other classes.

Ron, great pics as usual. Loved the eagles, and loved the dove pic's focus/aperture.

Thomas, I forgot to show you these pix of the bear that drank our hummingbird juice after bending the shepherd hook to the ground. Glad he/she doesn't hang around like your Boo...I'd be nervous. Do you think it is a male or female? This cam is mounted at the opening of my little barn looking outside...

I would be packing major heat, with a good flashlight, just to protect your pup. Hopefully he moves on.
My generation I’m 70 went to far free love free drugs one gets the drill now we didn’t save the world we screwed it up went too far. We became self centered and decadent just look at what’s going on in our Country today. Sad very sad
Yep
Yea, not even in their teens and they "know" that they are "gay" or miss "gendered", what a bunch of bull that they have been indoctrinated with.
Yep
My day not starting off right. I think I pulled a neck or shoulder muscle. I actually started popping pills. Ouch. WTH. Time to reaccess plans I guess.
4 ibuprofen works for me to break the tension. you might use different pills.

Had to save a red headed sparrow (or whatever they are called) from the cat's mouth. The bird feeder is in the front yard, and whenever I see the cat go to the front, I YELL "CAT" and she runs back to the back yard. I know it sounds stupid, but if she's in the front, and hears the front door open, she scampers to the back. It is hard to have an outdoor cat and a bird feeder. Most of the birds are aware, and look out while eating and bathing. She knows she's not supposed to be up in front.

Wedding was great yesterday. Church was on a bluff that you could see for 20 plus miles through the big windows behind the pulpit. Just seeing the church was worth the 30 minute drive. The wedding was beautiful, I've known, and watched both the bride and groom grow up for a long time. Both are great young people.

Going to church. Pentecostal Sunday. If anyone wants to know more about what that means, please PM me.

Prayers for our team.

Morning all, 66 going to 75 and cloudy.
Did get most of the vines removed from the bushes and got 2 bags of mulch down before the rain made everything too slippery.

My son works in New hope he had to park past the high school, as even there they were charging a $10 fee. Told him to leave early.....

BEF - I have the 620p set up for milling right now :)

I hate to be in hospitals, they can never figure out my diet, so someone always has to bring me food. Would think they could handle food allergies and intolerance, but no.

We have pool parties and the son and his friends use the pool. It is a lot or work. Fixes, maintenance, cleaning, chemicals.

When growing up, only one friend had a pool, I don't think anyone in my town had one.
My dad's yard was so small a kiddie pool would be significant.
In MA we had the brook and some ponds and tanner falls, and a park with a pool fed from the deerfield river. Like a very large cement basin.

That's some church Kyle.

Always loved going into the churches in Europe, amazing places, and a great way to see the art of the different eras. Mosaics, paintings and stained glass with bible stories in amazing colors.

be well,

Taken last night while waiting for the dog to de her business.

Good Morning
It’s 66° with a high in the low 70’s. No rain, which is great. We have only gotten 1/4” in the last three days, but it’s been in the form of a constant mist and drizzle , making it difficult to work outside.
Maybe it will dry up enough to get some mowing done today. The sun is peeking out occasionally now.

For some reason, a Hank Williams song popped into my head, and this verse seems to be stuck there.

“Mindin' other people's business seems to be high-toned
I got all that I can do just to mind my own
Why don't you mind your own business?
(Mind your own business)
If you mind your own business, you'll stay busy all the time”

Yesterday I disassembled the old diesel pump and fixed the motor. It had a stuck brush that mucked up the commutator. I was able to turn it very lightly and avoided having to undercut it. Cleaned out the brush holders and treated with Caig faderlube. Put it all back together and it runs like a champ now. I’ll give to my buddy that can use it, I’m happier with the 120vac one.

I think I’m going to remark the utilities with stakes for the excavators, a bit more durable than the paint on the ground.

Might be a good day to fly the little plane somewhere for lunch while I wait for the grass to dry.
