49 only going to 68. Too cloudy to see anything last night. Got a few showers yesterday.

Mostly, we brought Della home Thursday afternoon...7.5 weeks old Labrador Retriever.

Prayers for you and your wife, Buppies.

Yesterday was pretty much devoted to puppy play and training. Impressed how fast she has learned navigation around here. I did take a little time to repair the screen porch floor. She watched.

Good morning, the low is 45 and going to a high of 59°F. Wind E 5 mph. 70% chance of showers.

No chance of northern lights here either, too cloudy.:(

Ron, it looks like your wood pecker is praying for bugs from on high.;)

My 'big' project for this spring was the fuel tank and except for the power to it, it is done. All the rest of the projects are small ones and will get done as energy and time permits...Maybe.

That s about 'it' for now, will check in later.

Have a safe day all

good morning all
rather chilly at 43 out now, was very foggy earlier, now clearing to be a nice day with highs in 60's.
lots of errands this morning
delivering lettuce to a friend, then trip to hospital to pick up barium for CT scan on Monday, then food shopping.
feeling better, still about 10% fuzzy
maybe that's my new me.............

I hope RS didn't freeze any plants last night.

Good Morning! 66˚F heading to 80˚ partly cloudy, no chance of rain, N then E winds.

Mowed/edged/weedeat/blew yard yesterday. This is the best the yard has ever looked, very green very thick. Finished mowing using one battery only. Goal today is continue to work on this house cleaning straightening to get it wife approved to show. If she approves the make-ready, this house will sell quickly. I have learned to trust her judgement on that from her history of the last four moves. Each one of our "last" moves sold in less than 2 weeks. We also have learned not to say this will be our "last" move. (But we are running out of time.)

Good Morning,
Ct, 39 to start going to low 60’s. Bright and sunny out just kind of chilly!

Plans for today, hopefully finish digging trench for the drain by the pool and hopefully empty the last muddy water from the pool.

DC area...great for jobs...great for house values..great for BS.
So very true Mike !
Scott(vt) I got a trip to Oshkosh in open cockpit biplane because friend's mom didn't want to leave newborn grandkids :)
Wow, that would be very cool thing to do !

I was hoping for better results.
Doctor gave me 3 options and to let him know before the end of the month...got some thinking to do.
Best of luck on your decision Thomas ! 🙏 I’m sure you will do the right thing !

Tonite we are going out to dinner with friends, hopefully I don’t over extend my energy on todays projects ! 😉

Our youngest son down the road from us stayed up last night to get this night sky picture ! Kathleen and I were fast asleep by that point ! 😉

Ron beautiful picture this morning ! Thanks ! 🙏

Hope all have a good Saturday! 🙏

49 outside this AM, heading to mid 60's with more rain coming in late this afternoon.

The grasses...the grasses....LOL. Perfect weather for grass.

I need to get busy today. Only goal is to finish the Milk House bathroom wall. But then there is the normal chores to do too.

No Northern lights for us. Socked in under clouds. Daughter in Montana seems to have gotten some nice shots. I hope tonight there is a break in the cloud cover. It may be a once in a lifetime event for my geography.

Have a great w/e all. Get healthy, stay positive, be safe!

choose from bad, worse or awful?
prayers sent your way for a good outcome

one of the upsides, among all the downsides, of not having had children
is I can freely make decisions about my health without the input of children I am responsible for,
and who always want you to utilize every possible medical procedure.

I did that for seven years with my late wife, and after a dozen operations, there was no question this was
a terrible idea. But my wife was a nurse and her Dad was dying and she wanted to stick around to take care of him
So we went 100 rounds. I wound up with horrible caregiver PTSD and had to go get my sanity back on that NC farm.
Grew a lot of vegetables and fruit trees that lived to show that life went on.
And of course it did.

But each year as we get older and I'm now 74, yes younger than a bunch of you, I am less willing to get involved in invasive
medical stuff. I'll get tested as they like, but then, like Thomas, I have to think about what is best for me.
My primary doc said he wanted me to have a couple more good years. We are on the same page.
if I'm lucky and stay reasonably healthy, well score one for the good guys. But if not, well ok too.

it's a tough subject but here's a good example. Radical neck surgery caused by neck/throat/ear cancer.
They sometimes have to carve a big part of your head off. And you can't talk again except electronically.
is that how I want to go out?
My Father said no when he got esophageal cancer from cigars.
back then they didn't have fentanyl. I wish they did. My Uncle went from pancreatic cancer, one of the most painful I'm told.
many of you know how the end days of cancer can just be plain awful.
today fentanyl will cure what ails you, temporarily or permanently.

which is a circuitous route back to an early thought that maybe the best thing for me if faced with a terminal disease
is a nice trip to the Disneyworld of my dreams and just say no thank you and expire.
I'm ok with expiring. Don't we all want to go out with a smile on our faces?

that's a worst case example. Ratchet down the drama to do you want that hernia operated on or can you live with it?
Docs are body mechanics, they diagnose and then fix.
if your labs are out of range, well of course you need to fix it.
really?
sorry, that was quite a side trip.
back to regular programming

Don, I think it's very cool you are getting into a nicer place, more of what you want, at this point in your life.
Many of us just sort of get stuck with the familiar.

marvelous pic Scott, thanks
