Oh, I’ve no doubt she knows better, but the Mayor’s budget increase supported her projects.
Sounds like what a lot of tax entities try to do here. When property appraisals go up they know how much the levy will increase at that valuation if the tax rate is left the same. They also calculate how much the rate can be reduced and still collect the same amount as last year. So instead of reducing the RATE to what it would take to keep new revenue neutral - actually called the No New Revenue Rate, they reduce it just slightly so they can tell taxpayers they "reduced your tax rate". While still collecting much more tax money than last year. It's infuriating.

. Do not have the fancy connect option so have to do it the old fashion way with brute force from an Irwin clamp.View attachment 856828
I haven’t regretted for one second buying the “fancy connect option”. I have the 8 port version on the loader frame as well. As a matter of fact many others that have seen them in use on my machine have added them to their own.
When I bought the tractor, the dealer had never seen them, even though Kubota offered them as an option. Now they order them on most of the tractors they sell.

No wonder the dealer is now ordering them on new machines.
Sure is!
Here’s the one for the loader. I can remove or reinstall the loader in under two minutes. I always remove it to mow or use 3 pt implements.

Wagtail, if you have a snow blower that will 'relocate' the horse apples. It'll also break them up and do a better job of fertilizing.
There's no need for a snowblower where I live, it's never snowed here at my elevation... but thanks for the 'tip'.

Mulching with the Z-turn, once I twigged to the concept years ago, does a good job of pulverising/spreading the droppings after first chain-harrowing.

Heck, depending on the dryness of the manure, the dust would 'cloud' even more from the blower chute... covering me even more than it already does (depending on the wind direction). :)

Coffee has finished brewing. 43° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 65° with cloudy skies. Got my older tractor wiring done. It was colder than I had planned on. Old hands do not work well in the cold. No yard work done. Sassy like her walks to back of property. I walked out of pole bar. As soon as she saw me she was heading out that direction. It's is a good walk for both of us. Plan is to get other tractor wire today. Yard cleanup is still on list.

Good morning,
33° now, highs in the upper 40’s and sunny today. Winds NW 10-20 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph.

No power loss yesterday, kind of surprising with the wind howling all day. Didn’t see to much tree damage, only a few limbs and a couple of small dead pines down.

Did get yesterday’s errands done and spent the rest of the day conserving energy.

The only plan for today is to head to town hall and vote in the town and school district elections, then take the rest of the day as it comes.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

35 outside right now, heading to lower 70's today.

Played pickup sticks yesterday. And noticed I have a tree to push over in a pasture. Seems it is dead since it lost a good deal of its branches in the wind storm. No big deal. But not today.

Road trip in a few, hope all have a great day. Be safe.

good morning all
sure nice not to hear the wind howling this morning
in fact should be a very nice day, sunny up to 60.
I hope to spend some time working in the garage, getting it organized.
another shelving unit due in for greenhouse, will need to build that today.

first food shopping, then if I get motivated, and the sun is warm later, will wash the car, which
is long overdue.
having dinner out with brother and wife tonight.
seems someone is turning 74 tomorrow.

I got to pick the restaurant, need to make some decisions...

interesting that they have a totally gluten free menu available also.
Ken, would that help you?

48° sounds windy.
Was only out once yesterday, was 52° but the wind was cold and it seemed to come thru my jacket.
So just did picture stuff all afternoon.

Wife gets to study today for her test tomorrow. Unfortunately it’s way down in Baltimore. Colonoscopy.

Cops just arrested a 20 yr old from Baltimore for the murder of an older gentleman, was found in a field near here last January.
Just saw article touting where Baltimore schools leads the state in kindergarten readiness. Which I think means most in need to go to kindergarten. Always good to flip a negative around to sound positive.
Couldn’t sleep well last night, woke up early with crazy dream.

I was thinking that four years ago I wasn't sure I would make it to today.
for three weeks I had lost my mind. It was an awful time, locked up for six months due to early covid madness.
never saw my family or my friends for six months, was literally like prison.
so yeah, each birthday now sure comes with a smile.
I got all my marbles back and I'm still doing fun things.
for this I am very grateful.

may I say in advance thank you for the birthday wishes. I get it, no need.

I'd rather hear if David's lawn mower is running better.

time go to get moving, going to be a nice day.

as Picard would say Engage
