Good evening all. 60ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, breezy. Windy, variable cloudiness, and high temp was 82ºF. Got front porch swept up, made pancakes for breakfast, worked on paying bills. Stepdaughter arranged for window washing and some outside pressure washing, house looks nice. Dinner was at her house fillet baked potato and greenbean casserole Cheesecake for desert. Did get nap in and no ride, however have completed this year mileage goal. 100 more miles and I have 5K miles on the Peugeot.
Helogabals good to hear the tree reclamation coming along. Hope you can get most of them taken care before deterioration sets in. cute pic, made worse by English not your main language

We finally got the kitchen drain fixed, the 3" pipe was plugged solid with grease and crud. The plumber left at about 3 right behind me. I was going to the bank to get him more than the $750 I had on hand. Got to the bank and the electricity was out. I will get him the money tomorrow and meet him at the halfway point between North Bay and here. He had made three trips here and only charged me for two. It is a 45 minute drive each way.
Says the price of PVC pipe has gone up big time. I say as long as the sink drains the way it is supposed to, I don't care what it costs.
(I cant raise my arms above my shoulders for as long as he was, putting the new pipe in.) $1309.oo, a little pricey but when you call the local guys they didn't want the business.

Coffee is brewing. 50° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 45° with partly cloudy skies. Got burn barrel cleaned up, Haircut is done and can now hear much better. A good breeze from the west has been sending what left of leaves into field. But many are getting stuck in corners and between buildings. Will blow them out in open so Trak Vac can pick them up. Need a trip to Menards for some wood for a future project.

Drew, son sent me a text at 10pm. I 81 was moving good in both directions on his way to Harrisburg.

first thing is to go get in line to vote at 7am, then finish
packing and leave. Zero rush today, no reason to get to Lancaster early since my
friends cancelled out due to her Mom's passing. It's only a couple hour ride out there, and I'm going to
take the old colonial route out, not the Turnpike as usual.

just before dark went out and cleaned the rv windshield, windows and mirrors really well.
clean windshield, full gas tank, time to travel.

Good luck on your trip, Drew. Is this the one where you're headed all the way to Florida?
Three things you'll be required to show in court should you have to use that pistol: Has the bad guy shown intent to harm or kill you, has he the ability to harm/kill, does he have the opportunity? If all three, it's self defense. Anything less, and you turn into the bad guy. Free legal advise, and probably not worth that.

Got several notices of a grid outage at the old home, but it was cleared up in less than an hour. No sign of any power interruption inside the house.

My buddy and I did get the big compressor bolted down on a pallet, but then it was too tall to make it in under the trailer door. Guess it'll have to ride in an open trailer, either my 5'x8' or a U-Haul. Wish I'd have paid more attention prior to purchasing this trailer, as I've konked my head on that door way too many times already. Filled trailer with other equipment, Van got a light load as there just wasn't time to pack more boxes. Yesterday's trip went smoothly, but took a record 9 hours. Somebody's bladder didn't have much staying power, resulting in several more stops along the way. Picked up the remains of the exploded trailer tire on the way down. Not much left, but I'm hoping we can establish make and size to determine load capacity. My suspicion is it was far below what it saw on the trip. On arrival got the van unloaded, but we're laying over an extra day to get the trailer emptied. Gonna try backing it up over the curb into the RV parking slot on the other side of the house. New friend Charlie will be here to help, so fingers crossed we pull it off.

Charlie has some questions for my friend Jim on his Willys project, so we'll likely be over there this afternoon.

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

32.5F going to mid 70s, sunny day forecasted. Earliest rain might be Sunday.

Had to go to mom’s to fix something, so work trip to woodlot did not happen, but we did take dogs for walk up there and it was another good session with Harry. Got a couple odds-n-ends done at the house, I need to put the boxes/bins of Halloween decorations away later today. Day will start with chiro visit and the direct to woodlot to put boards up in cabin shed. Maybe dinner will be out today, if I cannot figure out something to cook…

But... they sent scripts to cover until then, I guess the least they could do.....
