LS, happy anniversary, 40 years is a milestone for sure. We will celebrate 58 years in a few weeks.

Mortgage rates hit 7.09 %. That's terrible for folks trying to buy a new home.

Just read somewhere where the up trend is favorable in some quarters as it encourages urban, dependent, rental vs independent thinking, rural ownership.

Good evening! 110˚F and 24% humidity at 4:30 pm, and 109˚ for the hours before and after just too hot to work in the estate garage. I go to do something and by the time I get to the other side of the garage I forget because of the oppressive heat

We have hired an estate liquidator to help organize the giga sale in a month and a half. We have been working weeks and are not half way through the stuff and I still have two sheds and a building to go through.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.3C and it's presently 14C, high overcast and calm. No rain yesterday and another CYA forecast rain for today... fortunately for after the Vietnam Veteran's Day parade.

And that's what I'll be 'up to' today, plus a luncheon after.

Today was good day all in all,all morning errands done with success Afternoon got seat time digging bank out and putting Mrs. 3'x12' another new flower box Mail man drop off package wasn't ours,couple miles caught up with him,we both had good chuckle the husband in for good treat from the his Mrs.

Pretty sure I keep old recliner still this evening.

I had to assume a VA loan on my first house to get a low 7% rate.
Luckily I had enough savings from my paper route to cover the equity.

That's almost 5% lower than when my wife and I bought the house I'm sitting in about 1984.
/edit - But about the same time I was getting 12% on treasury bills, now I'm getting 5.4%.

63°F and partly cloudy this morning, got up to 84° today. Looks like near triple digits again for the middle of next week. Eh ... it is August in the Midwest.
