69F and Fair @ 22:00, heading down to around 65F for the overnight low. Windows will be open tonight.
Located the beet seeds in the pill bottle - they had fallen down below the seat on Cub. So I was saved from having to go up to the compost pile and dig through the weeds I had dumped up there ...
Good bit of cloudiness this afternoon, high only reached 84.4F.
Woman and I took advantage and got the west side of the garden covered with two more sheets of weed block fabric and got it all stapled down:
The grading on that side isn't quite as level as the east side but I decided it was close enough.
Burned off most of the weeds before we laid the fabric down.
Woman had said Japanese beetles have been eaten the strawberries so we spent some time under the deck working on those while the sun was out. I pulled the weeds and watered them with some of that Schultz's Tomato Food, She picked the beetles off and tossed them into a container of soapy water. The plants are ready to go in the ground.
It had looked like we were going to get hit with a thunderstorm but thankfully it held off, nothing more than a couple of drops.
Last thing was resetting the monofilament fence - it now blocks off the entire garden area and the flower bed on the east side of the frog pond.
Still need to get the beans soaking, might hold off a couple of days on that.
Did not get tube feeders filled ...
Next three days are going to be very hot (for here, >90F) and humid ... so likely not much work out in the sun during the heat of the day ... other than maybe watering.
Hope everyone had a decent day ...
