Report on the Graco Power roller accessory - lov it

Painted about 1000sf +/- in about 4 hours. Could have done more timewise, but I ran out of me. A workout on my arms and shoulders. About 1/3 done. Used about 4 gallons paint. Decided on just 1 additional extension and used a ladder for peaks. Have another extension, but was concerned about making a mess removing it and then the delay cleaning it. Working from ladder with shorter extension may have been easier.

I’m using Behr exterior latex from Home Depot. Other than a little water I didn’t get out of the line, no thinning. Actually that bit of water just sat on top until I took a break then mixed it in.
The You Tube videos were helpful and encouraging, the online reviews caused me to wonder. Short learning curve, just lower the pressure and drips not a problem I did have some mishaps from leaks at the fittings - my fault for not tightening properly. Oh, and I missed the bucket when I purged the system. Hopefully, the boss will forgive me. Oh also when taking a break I put roller in zip lock bag so not to dry out. Naturally I splilt it. Should have rolled it out more first. Lesson learned.

Results are great. Able to put on a good coat and roll out evenly.

Clean up is about same as just the sprayer time wise. I cheated a bit today, not cleaning exteriors well figuring they will get messed up again tomorrow. I did do a decent job cleaning the functional internals and the roller mechanism. I bought replacement covers but looks like this one cleaned up well enough to reuse.

Once upon a time we had a Wagner Power Roller, worked very well and we got a lot painted with it.

Happy the Graco met your expectations, looks like it was a very worthwhile investment ...

Morning to all and a Happy Fathers Day;
Well heck I went and did it, bought a little tractor.
Not only did I buy a little tractor but it's also a hydro drive unit. So the new tractor should be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday.
A Kioti CK 2620SE cab even went with the little tiny backhoe. Was just looking for a small used one to get into the places I can't get with the larger tractors then my wife spoke up get something with a cab that she could drive if needed. She got nervous last winter when we got a major snow storm and no one could have gotten a vehicle up the driveway till I went down through with the tractor and shoved a bunch of limbs and trees out of the way (breaking a mirrior in the process). She doesn't feel comfortable with the Branson 8050 or the NH 8160 even though both of them have power shuttles and the NH is a power shift and the IH 574 doesn't have a good cab and can be difficult to start when cold.
Now I'll need to find a small brush hog and maybe a back blade as all my current ones are a bit to big and heavy for that tractor.

finished all my outdoor work, more weeding and watering and waiting for landlord's son to call back and come over, he wants me to
show him how the backup gen works in case I'm away during really bad weather.

I'd rather take a nap. Never got to the driveway scraping, another day.

I thought about mowing but will wait until tomorrow.

maybe a big decorative metal bucket there, something with metal sides.
does the flue go all the way up or is it tied into the chimney nearby? I see what I think is a clean out door there.

some insurance companies have real issues with wood stoves. Always good to make sure your insurer's position on them.

Well, new HDMI switch did not work this morning. This after everything was working yesterday when I installed it. I’m kind of at a loss as to why. Yet we managed to get by by swapping HDMI cables manually as needed.
Had my usual rack of ribs for Father’s Day lunch.
Maybe grab a nap before a late afternoon church meeting.

It has a blower that blows hot air out the front. The sides and top will get a little warm, but my cat lays on top of mine while it's on, he loves the heat.

Been good day for outside...steep banks trim also side field and mow low.
Checking game cams Boo only stops by once week maybe his girl friend put the paw down on his roaming.
Feet up share bowl ice cream watch little tv,out the door early AM.

Wood will be removed before fall comes. All our stove installs must be inspected and passed by the fire official before use or no insurance. Pipe is tied into the flue. Chimney base is 8 foot by 4 foot with 3 separate flues.
You can almost hold your hand on the pipe as most of the heat is blown out into the heated area.

66F and "Fair" @ 21:15, headed down to around 57F for the overnight low.

Water pump replacement completed, everything put back together and buttoned up:

Cleaned and greased the battery terminals while I was in there, also pulled the rear spring clip for the right side engine cowl and fixed it by bending it a little as it wasn't holding.

Partially refilled with tap water then checked for leaks, tightened up one hose clamp.

Put in half of the Zerex Radiator Super Cleaner, topped off cooling system and fired it up and brought it down to the house and put the box blade on (no parking brake presently)

Went back up and closed up the shop.

Kubota has been out there running at high idle for probably the last 45 minutes to an hour.

Need to add some water to the coolant recovery tank so when it cools off it will have something to suck back into the system.

Probably do that, find something to eat (more spaghetti), and then grab a shower and kick back for the rest of the evening.
