this morning's rain fizzled out, so headed out to push the little mower. Only for exercise.

Good morning! Cloudy and 56° now.

We got rain yesterday for the first time in 22 days. we really needed it.

Saturday was a long busy day. Got up early and went to the BSA Owner’s club rally in the morning. Came home and disposed of another raccoon. Then my wife joined me for a trip to Salem for the races. Got a new race bike to play with. No more trying to stay ahead of a Yamaha that doesn’t want to turn consistently. This only has mid-level suspension, but responds to adjustments as expected.



Local rider won his first race Saturday night. Only the 8th flat track event he has been in. He also debuted his new KTM with a 2nd in the final after a race long battle with another rider who kept blocking his move to pass. He got underneath him in the last corner and pushed him off the groove. And no contact was made. Nice!

And I am invited to a private practice session with an AFT twins rider next week. He is going to also test my Kawasaki.

Better get moving….

Good morning! Low of 45°, heading up to 75°, sunny. Fire weather watch in place due to the low relative humidity of 6%..... dry and crunchy. Winds should be light.

Mostly, welcome back! That was quite the trip...and mileage. What is the longest ride you've done?

PJ, wow... 11 miles pushing a mower....that's a lot of walking....

Buppies, cute puppy! You're gonna get some exercise now!

Two "false alarms" with the daughter this past weekend. Contractions 4 minutes apart ..... but, no dilation, so they sent her home. ......any day now....
At least she's off from work and able to 'relax' at home.

Started putting down the walkway boarder in the courtyard. Easier than I thought it would be, but tough leaning /bending over. Plenty of breaks on the porch. We are making this 'enjoyable' rather than a work project.

Today's agenda will be more of the same, finishing up the border, but we will start to put down landscape fabric and mulch in some areas. I'll order the stone this morning for the walkway. Not looking forward to that part.....

A cool 56F, breezy, and overcast @ 10:30 ... calling for a high of around 65F today. Slight chance of a rain shower today as most of the rain has moved east.

LWS reports 0.58" so far ... but that seems kind of doubtful ... as it was showing that last night and it rained pretty good again this morning.

90% chance of rain tomorrow ...

Fresh pot of coffee tasting mighty good.

Got MMM blades removed from Kubota last evening, did not get around to bottling up the stink juice or planting the new plants.

More cleaning inside the house, got the banana tree trimmed of dead foliage and watered along with the spike plant.

The new plants are a couple of Campanula Superba, 20" - 24" height with a 24" spread:

Full sun to partial shade.

Probably get them potted later while I'm waiting to go pick up The Woman at the airport.

In the meantime I need to run down to Eddie's Live Bait and pick up more mealworms before they close at noon.

It's very near that other campground you were considering, just a little bit further down the road.

As BEF says, it's a huge place - they've moved within the last 10 years and are now right next to Hartville Kitchen and The Hartville Shops (indoor) and Flea Market (outdoor)

Big Amish and Mennonite area.

I don't know that area at all.

67°F and no rain

Successful day yesterday. Today move on to last of the gable ends of boxes. This one a bit different, where the living room and garage boxes overlap. Last of the scaffold required areas. Suspect this is a 2 day event.

In town Happy Hour this afternoon, something to look forward to, no climbing up and down LOL

A rental hoe or excavator would do a quick job of removing those old stumps. Choose whichever is cheapest... myself I prefer the backhoe. Just because you should never underestimate the value of overkill.

A couple pounds of xxx bl@ck p0wder works on stumps, too (if it isn’t too close to any windows).

Mrs frowns upon such activities, which is why we now have our own mini-excavator

GM UPDATE:

Radar showed a couple hours without anything popping up, so I finally got the transmission for the rototiller reassembled!!!! And it even seems to be working properly, through all the shift positions—- Yay me.

I am sure something is wrong, since i have no extra parts leftover…

next will be reassembling the engine, transmission, and the tin.

Must be getting old in the head. Just realized in that my mini project reports I have referenced the work areas as the eaves when in fact I should have said Gable end. And I really do know better. Hope I didn’t confuse anyone. One confused here is enough.
