Jay we have yellow and red finches hog the bird feeder. Our house wrens seem to have left unusual to say the least
Buppies- That's interesting- our Wrens disappeared as well. They were around here earlier this year. I was blaming their disappearance on the flock of English/European Sparrows that arrived here for the first time in +40 years last Fall which I attributed to some local, old farmhouses and barns that were demolished last year disrupting/displacing the Sparrows.

I am no forensic engineer, but the BF's car was T-boned so hard on the right passengers' rear side that the car exploded and somehow one of the other vehicle's tire bounced around for awhile. This was no slow speed vehicle interaction. My + thoughts and prayers.
It rolled and landed upside down. The hit was on the right side front area. The car went through the stop sign at full speed and T-boned it.
The damage to the rear end is likely the landing after being airborne.

OMG. Like previously posted he's one lucky individual to have "only" suffered a concussion. Has there been any evidence of an intracranial slow bleed going on? My + thoughts and prayers.

had a lot of fun gardening on a beautiful morning.
bought a hydrangea bush, a few hosta and some veggies and came home and planted them.
Garden now full, added sweet italian basil, green peppers, and a few watermelon plants.
Eggplants not happy with exposure to cold, little bit wilted, everything else looks fine.
might get cold tonight, will pay attention to temps

BIL stopped over on way back from Flemington buying diesel for his truck, 3.79 he said.

red potatoes growing in bags look happy, ones in black bag always grow a little faster since that color bag takes in more heat

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 9:00AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 83F. Winds light and variable.

Wow Frits, that young man is lucky to be alive. Hope he fully recovers.

The M62 here came with a hole punched into the plastic grill, undisclosed by the seller. The hole also punctured the air cleaner, which I replaced. I found the pieces of the grill under the radiator, and just wired them back together. And this latest round of brush clearing has a new hole showing in the grill, but I haven't looked into what else might have been damaged. But some sort of repair, and likely a metal guard, is on the to do list.

Spent most of yesterday requesting quotes for a RAM ProMaster van to be factory ordered. Sent out more than a dozen, mostly using the contact form on dealership websites. About half responded, and the three that provided quotes all want MSRP. Wait time estimates ranged from 4 to 12 months. I can do 4, or even 6, but certainly not a year. We'll see what the new week brings, but I hope I don't have to go back to trying to find something off a lot.

No mowing or spraying yesterday, but the weeds are taking over the solar panel array, so that's #1 job this morning. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...

Good morning! Low of 24° ---- not good for all the flowers on the apple and peach trees. Oh well, happens almost every year. High today should hit 62°. At least it will be sunny and light breezes.

Chances of a sprinkle or t-storm are at 40% tomorrow. I hope we are in that 40% area --- really dry. Last moisture we received was back in February, and it wasn't much....

Starting to drift back towards the severe drought conditions. Just have to wait and see.....

Jay, nice pic of the goldfinch. He is definitely displaying his spring color! Thanks for posting.

Ron, your pic is great too! Beautiful cardinal.

We seem to be having a strange year for the visiting birds. There is a big decrease in the amount visiting the feeders.... a guess would be 50% less. I used to fill the feeders every 2 days, now it's about once a week..... I wonder what's going on?

On Friday, saw a hummer come to where the feeders usually are hung.... they weren't there at the time, but immediately got filled..... haven't seen another hummer come back yet.....

Fritz, nice bodywork on the hood. Looks great!

David, good repair on the mower. Hope it holds up better than the OEM. Hope you get the full day of mowing.

Scootr, sounds like you got some good seat time on the tractor. Thumbs up for helping the widow. Bet you were glad to be done with the pucker factor!

Today's agenda: Some more drip irrigation modification (forgot to do 2 trees) adding an additional dripper.
Then get some measurements for the next landscaping project, the borders / raised beds for the trees. A trip to pick up the materials needed is planned for tomorrow.

Time to get moving.....
Everyone have a great day!

Realized that the pellet stove only has a couple handfuls of pellets left.....
Not a good thing since we have been running it in the mornings to take off the chill....
So, a run to TSC is on the list for today.... I'll just get 1 or 2 bags.

Since HF is right next door to TSC, I might just stop in there too.... to see if there is something I didn't know I needed. I do need some cut-off wheels....

Good Afternoon.
Got out early this am before I could check in. Straight to Marsh Harbour, back to Miami to clear customs into the US and drop off some passengers. Getting fuel now to head back to Philly with the rest and go home myself.
Nice view on the way into Marsh Harbour
