Good morning, 33 going to 49 today. The high winds from yesterday seems gone. Cody did his thing outside and went back to sleep. Coffee is good, Tape on the knee came off so will re-tape it later this morning. Still being careful with the shoulder while waiting for the Dr appointment to look at it.
Did some more dirt work around the pond yesterday with the excavator. The clay is too wet to finish grading but got it mostly where I wanted waiting for dry weather to finish

Had fun talking with Ron about a trip to the top of the Upper Peninsula this summer to visit my brother's vacation home up there.
Ron was kind to invite me to stay with him since he has full rv hookups and I drive right past his home anyway.
And then on the way back, hopefully a stop for lunch with RS in Ohio, then headed East with another stop in Lancaster.

Good Sam software makes this easy, shows all the campgrounds along your intended route, and I keep clicking until I find a good one about five hours driving from the last one.
Sometimes shorter, maybe a three hour day. I'm not in any rush at all. Just still haven't figured out how to maintain a veggie garden while traveling. I think I have a friend who might do it in return for eating all the good stuff I grow while away.

If the trips to Florida and Michigan are successful, and my body can handle it, well.....next stop Texas, NM, Las Vegas and California, with Utah parks on way home.
RNG will have to tell me when to come so I don't get my rv all sooted up.... ;)
hopefully a year from now.

Don, hope you had a fun cruise. I loved every one I went on. I could just look at the ocean passing by for hours on end.

Morning all, 33 going up to 46 and partly cloudy.
Truck dropped off for inspection and oil change.
Got rake from HD yesterday, smaller rake head for under bushes.
Wood handle $17 and fiberglass hollow handle $34, so wood handle one came home.
I did not think double the price for same rake head with different handle was a good deal.

We haven't heard from Alien in a while, hope he is getting some relief for his hands.

Weedy bushes starting to bud.

Friday call for snow going from 0-3" changing every few hours.

My friends other daughter got engaged over the weekend, wife says no more winter weddings, she is finally feeling better after the last weddings cv and then getting infections etc. The double dosage of antibiotics seems to have worked. Hopefully.

Be well,

Good Morning. Sunny and 32, but apparently not for long.

Yesterday was pretty busy, making sawdust, dog training, and helping my son. His project was interesting. His house is a 200 year old frame farm house, most of the framing is post and beam, the outside walls are studded out and filled with stone and mud based mortar. Of course the project for the day was fishing a wire through an outside wall. Fortunately, the inside of the wall was covered with tongue and groove boards, a little (1/2” typical) airspace between them and the stone filling. The tongue and groove wood was covered with drywall at some point.
We removed an outlet box and saw that it was fed with Romex from above which was a good sign that there would be room for another wire run. I tried all the tricks, jiggling a sash chain from above, a magnet puller, and finally rigid fiberglass fish rods, which ultimately was the winner. It was a test of patience and determination, but at the end of the day, we were successful.

Today will be back in the shop working on speakers, possibly some snow plowing later, but that looks doubtful.
It’s been interesting teaching Zoe to negotiate stairs. She is making progress, not there yet but the light at the other end of the tunnel doesn’t look like a train.

Good Morning!!!! 39F @ 6:30AM. Rain and wind early...then remaining cloudy with thundershowers developing for the afternoon. Potential for heavy rainfall. High 46F. Winds SSE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 100%.
Picked up another 0.81" of rain yesterday, more due today, with only three dry days in the 10-day.

Did some digging on a new listing in Orcutt, CA, and later in the day took a virtual walk around the place through a Zoom meeting with the real estate agent's phone. Not the greatest images, but a lot better than another seven hour commute. Enough to see they're asking a premium price for a property that needs a LOT of work to be move in ready. But the lot is big enough to build a nice shop, and there's also space to park an RV in the side yard which would also provide access to the shop. Agent says the seller already has two offers, and suggests offering above the asking price. I might regret it later, but I think I'll pass on this one.

Might get some time in on the taxes today, not sure what else.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Good morning! Low if 24°, going up to 47°. Sunny and light breezes today. That will be short lived - the winds return tomorrow and Wednesday. Not as bad as yesterday, but forecasted gusts to 45mph.

The high wind gusts recorded yesterday:
Tucumcari NM - 83 mph
Albuquerque NM - 75 mph
Not sure of our top gust, but we are between those 2 areas, so my guess....

Haven't seen any damage so far from the windows, will take a stroll in a little bit for a closer look.

Started off the day making a couple important calls, maybe a few later. Probably broom the porches and clean up any debris from the wind. Then maybe try and complete yesterday's agenda......

Everyone have a great day!
