Good morning all, 25 going to 37 getting colder. Thankfully we are not up north in Canada.

Fire started and going good.
The van will be picked up this morning. We are going to town to pick up groceries from the curbside pickup. Several hundred dollars of stuff for holiday and beyond
Our hunter neighbor was back at exercising his AR15 with bursts of fire. Must be a huge clip. In my teens I experimented with gunpowder and explosions, small cannons etc until my brother got hurt. That put a stop to that craziness.
Mostly, yes she is the same daughter. As I said earlier she has "been everywhere" like in the Johnny Cash song.

Good morning! 45˚F heading to the low 50s cloudy, North wind. Today will be the warmest day this week at the "Farm" and I hope the parents take advantage of it to get the kids some outside time before the big freeze.

Good Morning
It’s 27 with a high in the upper 30’s, another dry day.

Yesterday started with a trip to the optometrist to get a replacement nosepiece for my glasses. Have no idea how I lost one, but it was gone. They replaced both of them and gave me a spare pair, only took a few minutes, and no charge.
Ran some errands and started getting ready for a new puppy, which will now be here Thursday morning instead of the 26th. The breeder contacted me and said that her vet was driving to PA from Wilmington, NC, and had offered to transport my puppy. Even more amazingly, their destination is less than a half hour from me.
As long as it all works out, it will be a great thing.

Today starts with going to military honors ceremony for an old friend at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery. He was a good friend and generally a man of few words that probably would have scorned the ceremony, but he deserves it.

Morning all, 25 and feeling it, still waiting for sun to come up over the trees.
Only one more workday to the year for me.

Got three more panels up. Next few will be more complex cuts, probably take some time to do.
Then clear sailing on back wall.

Found an air leak at top of garage doors, will have to figure out what kind of seal to put there that won't get chewed up by door open/close.

Used two heaters 1x1kw and 1 x 1.5kw and they are able to warm up the garage 10 degrees in a few hours, so insulation is having some impact.

PopG- early dog arrival sounds nice and certainly cheaper than taking the plane up. Condolences on the friend.

Buppies - feel better- maybe a change in diet is needed short term?

When I worked for the government, even though I worked on cameras, we could not take pictures of anything, were not even supposed to be "in country". So no pics of our detachment or my coworkers/friends. We weren't even allowed to keep in touch after project was dissolved. We had some good times, some nerve wracking times and lots of adventures.

23 outside this AM. Heading to lower 40's.

Trying to get the house stocked up and in order since we will be away on and over Christmas. Daughters will hold down the farm while we are away. Been a crazy last few months with scheduling and what not. Reality bites sometimes.

Unfortunate but events turned most of my projects to the sidelines for a long while. I have another electrical contractor scheduled for mid-January to fix and finish what the first one did on the Milk House. I guess I really need to learn about electricity, but am hoping this project is the last of the electrical/plumbing projects. LOL.

Morning,
Another bright sunny cool morning. Low this morning was 30F, presently 37, forecast high of 42. There is a thin layer of ice on part of the creek.

Chimney man actually showed up early. Reported chimney was in good shape and it would be easy to drop a flex pipe down to the wood stove. Damper frame is rusted out, that needs to come out anyway. Will be putting in a new frame and a blank plate with a hole just large enough for the pipe. Wood stove is a Vermont Castings Defiant Encore that I bought in 1987 and this will be the 4th home I have installed it in. They don't make them like they used to.

With ice forming on the creek, looks like my boating days are ending sooner rather than later.

Spent some more time working in the shop yesterday, so nice to have a choice of tunes. I have mini-splits in one of my garages and my shop. The one in the garage wouldn't startup, green light just flashed away. I powered down the system, waited a minute and powered it back up, now both units are working properly. These were installed less than a year ago, time to call service tech to see what is going on. Probably operator error, but I need to know.

Miss's is home from NC, I'm betting there is some Christmas stuff to do on her 'honey do' list, although I haven't been told that yet.

I guess from my early years it was a clip and that sticks in my memory bank. In the old Royal Enfield rifles it was a clip that held the cartridges together and then you pushed them down into the rifle
