That's a regular for me at my favorite Thai restaurant, Ken. Mind sharing the recipe?
Thai Kitchen red curry paste, can of Coconut Milk, cook up onions in some neutral oil. Throw in 2 tablespoons curry mix.
cook for a few seconds, add coconut milk, cooked meat and some veggies and stir well. I also add some sweet chili sauce.
Over JAsmine rice for us.

It is a good morning having WATER!
Yesterday afternoon I'm "helping" wife clean kitchen when I move 30 y.o. Delta faucet when nozzle snaps off.
"If I did that you'd make me replace it!" she says as she gives me the stink eye.
Step one is down to garage filling wheelbarrow with plumbing tools knowing I'll have to make two trips. Step two is realizing everything under the sink must be moved which is an archeological expedition going back to the Jimmy Carter years. The positive is throwing out a large Hefty bag of expired food, rags, etc. Of course the faucet removal was an amazing feat and thank God I just bought a Craftsman V20 oscillating saw with carbide blade which blade broke just as corroded bolts cut through. Of course the shut off valves don't work so I switch the well off and drain it down. Some kid riding a bicycle by 1000ft away learned a few new cuss words I'm sure.
Now off to Ace Hardware where I'm shown a new style Delta with what looks like 1/4" octopus tentacle supply lines. The guy says I'll need adapters, saying some of the tentacles I won't use but going from other ones to Shark Bite to Pex to copper to existing Quest but I'm in good shape already having band crimpers except I'm more concerned about swallowing two 5mg Valiums with a Goodies powder.
I tell the guy I'll be back after I go back home taking pictures and measuring things out.
By now it's 7, Ace is closed so I head off to Lowe's which was a blessing. They had the exact same Delta faucet and half price than Ace and on sale! Luckily an empty basket was nearby because they had a 50% tool sale rack nearby I filled with tools I didn't need.
Back home wife had things cleaned and ready! Installation was 15 minutes and turning well on no leaks!!!
Now with two wheelbarrow trips back to garage and shower I finally had dinner at 11.

30F with a snow shower @ 12:00, calling for a high of around 32F.

Check up went fairly well, weight was 186 lbs, BP was 100 over 60, pulse ox was 70 bpm and 95% (went up to 96% while I had the monitor on), a couple of items on the blood work were a little off but he said nothing to be concerned about: red blood cell size was 5.3 (upper number in the range is 5.2) and potassium was slightly high which he said could be due to one of the heart meds (lisinopril) I'm taking.

For some reason the lab didn't run the lipids panel (🤬) so he jacked up the statin dose. Have to go in 6 weeks and get blood drawn again to get the lipids checked ...

Called Woman as I was leaving and She threw some cod fillets in the oven along with the leftover onion rings from Eadies the other night.

After that, we watched the rest of the episodes for Season 1 of Outer Range.

So basically not a terribly productive day.

Hoping today will be a little better.

Refill hopper feeder on agenda, then back to working on the lighting and patching in the dining room.

Hope everyone has a great TGIF ... (y)

nothing like completing a plumbing adventure successfully. And the appreciative crowd cheers...

just might see a snow flake this afternoon, little system expected to pass through later, and with temps dropping
might just be some white stuff. Same stuff RS is currently getting.
puts one in the mood ho ho ho

got everything done I needed to except cleaning out the garden. That will give me something to do on a nice sunny day tomorrow.
now I'm going to do less than nothing and go soak in a hot tub.

hope you are all having a fine Friday.

Your probably cringing at my food choices.
Nope, every person is different and certain foods that affect some negatively do not affect others quite so bad. I'm just lucky I found out and was able to adjust my diet. The second part, adjusting, is hardest for most without a cooperating spouse and understanding family. My heart attack and my younger brother's fatal heart attack five years later really drive in the seriousness of diet affecting health.

Good afternoon! 30 now and doubt it gets warmer. Snowed fairly hard this morning, but only got maybe an inch.

At least we are not getting the snow the east side of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario are getting. Sounds ugly.

@mostly_gas, the day was not a waste, it was something I needed to do regardless. And yesterday was about the same, what I planned to do and what I succeeded in doing was 2 different things.

Taking the wife to dinner tonight for walleye. We have never been to this restaurant, but it gets rave reviews.

Ran some errands, now time to go off on a tangent.

Everyone stay safe out there

Thomas, most of my hunting these days is an excuse to sit in the woods and use binoculars to watch wildlife. But, I could be tempted if the big monster comes by.
As my wife says " I just through the motion" Dress warm plenty snacks good place to set ready to reach for the camcorder. ;)

...

What's that hike like? Time wise? Level of conditioning? Footing?

I take it since you were doing it after the park re-opened, the footing must have been good.
Now's a good time to go...after the 2 storms, full stream and water flow.

We parked at Hogback Mountain AT parking, near milepost 21, took the AT to Tuscarora/Overall Falls Trail, then did loop back on Mathews Arm Horse Trail. The Overall Falls Trail is pretty steep, and not the best maintained trail in the park, but no ice, just a lot of leaves. There was a little ice left on the boulders and fallen tree trunks. The AT and Mathews Arm are in great shape. We hiked past the falls, and turned it into 7.5 miles and about 1,900 feet of climb. Just going to the lower falls is about a 6.5 mile roundtrip and 1,600 feet elevation gain. Takes about 3.5 to 4 hours total depending on pace and how long you stay staring into that canyon and falls.

The park was almost empty yesterday. We finished at sunset, and had to dodge deer on the drive back.

@rswyan - who was the brewery for the Vanilla Porter?

Not sure ... meant to ask the waitress before we left but it slipped my mind.

They had it on draught so I'd assume it was local.
