Good morning!!!!

Good morning, low temp is 25 and the high to 28°F. Wind NNE 11 mph. Periods of snow.
When I got up at 9:30 there was 1/4" on the deck and a nice fine snow coming down.
I would rather have this abrupt swing straight into a snowy winter than a freezing rain storm.

Gotta get the trailer hooked up to the Dodge and load it with more junk to go to the dump.
We will load it today, then put the trailer in the garage for the Dodge (Dodge can sit outside) and deliver it to the dump tomorrow on our regular dump day.

Gotta go wake up the fire.

Have a safe day all

Good morning, Rain and sleet is gone from last night. 42 going to 45 no rain or snow in forecast. Cancelled the appointment for Cody's groomer because don't want to drive on treated roads before they are dry. Going to make our last run of the year to our vegetable market before closing down. Getting more firewood in to stay warm and making a frame to seal up a drafting window for the winter. Plan to get up in the barn also to clean up tools from the last repairs and if time left change the ignition coil on the chain saw. Put in the excavator for fixing the thumb that will not retract for some reason that is not obvious to me.

More vultures helping

tough neighborhood you live in... ;)

104 gallons of #2 just delivered for $4.679 a gallon.
now that's a fill up...

1100 bucks worth of diesel in that little tank. I expect to burn it all, costs me double what it did last year.
Am hoping my electric radiator heaters will help out. One that sits next to me here in office keeps me toasty warm.
Rest of house set at 70. Keeping an extra layer on more often.

grey and breezy out. Built a coat tree to put near door to keep my stuff from laying about. No entry closet at all.
Cleaning lady will be pleased. She clearly likes order. Fun to see how she rearranges stuff.
I'll trade bills with you, I got my annual fillup yesterday 1328 gallons that we got for a lockin price of $4.049 but it still hurts.
Had an inch and a half of snow on the ground this morning for a 45 minute drive for an early doctor appointment, but roads were not too bad.
Warming up now it's 34F out.

Noooooo thank you Lou. At least your price was decent.

all this talk of snow.

RS, we've all been meaning to talk to you about slacking off.
You just don't get enough done, stop sleeping all day and apply yourself for once. ;)

been trying on some winter clothes, mostly pants, for trip next week. Little snug. Found enough with some stretch
Not going to be warm in NC while I'm there. Made an appt of sorts to see my old oncologist while I'm down there, have a lot to thank the guy for,
and he was delighted to see me and get some good PA apples. Will also take in a small basket to old primary doc, nice lady. I used to take their office a ton of veggies
from my farm. Plus a lot of Entemann's chocolate donuts where they were two for one.

Now it's three for two. Sign of the times.

question for you all. Need to bring in my wood glues from unheated garage, no heat for winter. Can't be good to freeze that stuff.
What else should come inside? Need to check my collection of sprayers too.
what about all my Makita cordless batteries?..
Guess they should go to the basement also.
car wax stuff?
guess I'd better take two buckets

paint cans etc

33°F and cloudy this morning, only going up to 36° today. Going to get lows down into the teens over the weekend, but highs back up into the 50s next week.

Left work early yesterday to get new tires put on at Sam's Club. Got an $80 discount I wasn't expecting, which made the installation free. Since we got the "plus" membership, they gave me another 15% off. So, four new tires for under $400. Hard to complain about that.

Hope you can get everyone healed up, rip.

Good morning, gents.

I went in with my brother on the farm this summer and we locked in 9000 gallons at $4.04 which has to be delivered by the end of this month. The truck made my delivery and one of his they are coming back today to finish up the deliveries. It was enough for fall field work, and fuel for the houses and to top of the farm tanks for the winter. Now to blend in a couple of cases of Power Serve to prevent jelling in the above ground tanks. Normally we blend in considerable kerosene in a few of the tractor tanks and the mobile home tanks but with the price of kerosene this year we are going to try and get by with just additives. We shall she, I do have 3 cans of K1 ready to add to the tractor tanks when they start talking sub zero temps, and I think they are planning to do the same on the farm. They only have to use diesel tractors every day there and one old gasser for loading feed and feeding.
