gyro should be lamb shouldn't it?

fly safely Popgadget. Watch out for those rockets down there.

had to share this pic with you, since I know a bunch of you have generators.
This is from gen thread here on TBN. One member is Generac repairman.
kaboom
of course inquiring minds want to know why this 1000cc twin blew a hole in
its block. Am surprised no oil showing on outside. Good thing that case held its parts inside.
Blew off the trim rim below. I have owned this same gen several times, not what I think Generac will put
on their brochure next year

can't wait for pics of inside

Wife tested negative. I tested myself again and it came up positive. Plan to get some more test kits and get the doctor advice on Paxlovin

Good morning! 46 now and sunny, hi is supposed to be 63.

Traditional gyros are lamb, but lamb/beef are not uncommon. Even the Greeks offer chicken and pork some places for Gyros.

I found if you want good gyros in Greece, you need to be well away from the tourist areas. Best gyros I ever had were from a little place called Volkano in Kozani, Greece. They carved the meat to order from a log of meat under a warming light. The meat was layers of beef, lamb, and pork.

Wife bought things for the bathroom remodel yesterday. We have a new tub sitting near the upstairs bathroom in the spare room. Somehow, we need to get the old one out. Not looking forward to that project.

Didn’t do much after we got home, my knees were aching. Carryover from Saturday. So took it easy.

Get well soon Frits.

Everyone stay safe out there!

70 going up to 74 and then down to 42. Warm again, clouds are starting to clear out.

Mostly - happy birthday to the Mrs.!

Gyro can be either lamb or pork in Greece. Strips of them spiced and layered on a vertical spit.
Not a mass of meat, can see the layers, some skin/fat layered in.
Like RichB1 said , you need to be off the main path, but not far on the greek islands.
Mainland Greece is a bit more difficult. Last time we went we hired a local for a full day, whose wife was from near where I grew up.

So many meetings.....

Yesterday on the way home, quite stormy looking sun, but not much rain.

53F and sunny @ 09:45, heading up to around 60F today for the high.

Ten Day shows highs in the upper 50's and 60's through Friday followed by the big cool down on Saturday, calling for rain on Friday as well.

Have appointment for flu shot this afternoon, not sure what else will be on agenda besides that ... other than getting that last Burning Bush in the ground.

There's been some discussion about whether or to go vote early at the county Board of Elections while we're in town ... but to do that we'd have to do it before flu shot appointment this afternoon as early voting ends at 14:00 today.

Voting down at our normal polling place typically isn't bad and it's only about 1/2 mile away from the house so we may end up doing that instead.

Suggested to The Woman last night that I might want to go ahead and at least drill a couple of holes for the hydrangeas while I have the PHD mounted on the tractor since now is the ideal time to be transplanting them. Still have some other plants we need to get in the ground as well.

Hopper feeder needs refilled so will probably do that here in a few.

Bearings on the other wheel on the dump cart are looking dicey so might handle that as well this morning.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Monday ... (y)

Good morning to all! Low of 30°, now 48°, going for 65°. High clouds, but mostly sunny.

Mostly, say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to the wifey.... hope she has a nice day.
Sounds like you definitely has some tornado close calls.

Don, you also had some close calls for sure! The fury of Mother Nature at the finest.....
I believe those trees are:

Wng, neat contrails, lucky you were able to get some pics.

Drew, surprised the case on that genny held, there was some force behind that..... I wonder if it was still under warranty?

Phil, sorry to hear that the alligator bit you..., hopefully stays away from the wife.

Dennis, when I first read your post, I thought you were asking about "long term CAR insurance"..... I had a chuckle about that...

Today's the big day! High speed internet! Hopefully all goes well.... our current provider was off line again for many hours intermittently over the weekend. I'll be glad to dump them just because of the technical problems.... their customer service was great.

Not much else planned for the day. The son is out running some errands and he'll pick up my scripts.... saving me a trip to the pharmacy. I'll still have to make the Costco trip, but that will be tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a great day and start to the week!

68°F and .3 inches rain.

Need to spend some time reconfiguring my UniFi network changing its internet feed from the house Starlink to the cottage Starlink. Hoping it’s simply moving some parts and not having to redo all the settings etc. Some day I should learn more about networking.

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

67F, cloudy, and still @ 02:00, thought I heard a wee bit of rain a little bit ago but it passed through fairly quickly.

Heading to around 60F for the overnight low. Slight chance of a shower but I think it's mostly past at this point.

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful - high of 76.5F and very breezy.

More clean up and pallet juggling over in the barn.

Got one OSB panel trimmed and put up.

Man door on front wall vacuumed inside.

Also 2 x 8 x 14 nailed in place across the opening for the center overhead door. Still need to stake it.

Both pieces of foam board insulation installed at the bottom of Bay No. 4.

Two pallets up in shop unloaded and a third pallet that was sitting outside moved into the shop. Scrap cardboard collected and moved inside.

Garage door opener moved inside shop and the pallet it was on (with the other garage door opener) taken back down to the barn.

Several more pallets that were sitting outside that I didn't want to get wet moved back inside barn.

Saw this guy this afternoon at one point as I heading over to the barn:

Handsome fellow, I made him to be an 8 pointer near as I could tell:

Didn't realize he had company and was entertaining until I got a chance to look at the pictures tonight:

Hope I wasn't interrupting anything ... ;)

Saw these two later on up by the compost pile:

Hope everyone had a great Saturday ... (y)

I am trying to follow your build but not sure if this a barn remodel project or new construction. Maybe way back in the posts it was clear
