I may try to order some gravel for the driveway.... I have been waiting since we had all the rain a couple weeks ago, wanted to let the stockpiles dry out a bid --- no sense in paying for wet stone. If it was just a ton or two no big deal, but don't want to pay for a couple hundred pounds of moisture in 56 tons!
I'm in the same boat, Ted. But when I spread gravel a couple weeks ago, it was still damp inside the pile. And that pile had sat there all summer. Now I'm seeing more rainy than dry days in the 10-day, so I have an excuse to put off the next purchase, which will also be a big one. Maybe fuel prices will come down after the election?

67°F and 2.18 inches rain. Possibly too wet for anything outside.

Last full day with friends so just might be a kickback day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning
It’s 58 with a high in the upper 60’s, clearing throughout the day.

Yesterday was mostly in the shop putting things away and cleaning. I did run a PEX airline over near the press, it will service the welding bench and the front of the tractor as well. Made up an air hose, and left it plugged in. I’ve been using Flexeel urethane hose from Coilhose Pneumatics, it’s the best, most durable air hose that I have come across so far. It has reusable ends, similar to Aeroquip.

Found the top of the woodworking bench, it’s almost entirely visible now.

Today I get to visit the FAA again, hopefully it will be more productive than the last time. Not much else planned after that because I have know clue how long that will take.

What size pex for air? Use a regular pex street elbow? I want an air outlet by my garage door. Compressor is in basement. I now run 2 sections of hose to get outside, and the hose gets in the way in the garage.

If Popgadget or Ken lived near me I would feed them like a King once a month, just in case I might need there assistance some time.. I don't think there is anything they could't do..
mark, I try to keep them supplied with veggies and muffins.
where are you approx in NC? You may have said and I forgot. I'm headed back down to Washington, my old farm and home, for a visit before Thanksgiving.
Having dinner at old neighbor's whose six year old son keeps asking for Mr Drew and when I'm coming back. So I am. Young man owns a Cub Cadet garden tractor, old one, I gave him when I sold the farm. And for this Christmas, I'm getting him a very nice trailer for his little yellow tractor so he can help Dad with all kinds of stuff on their farm.
I don't have kids, so I can do this...garden trailer will give him something to remember me by. His own tractor now has a trailer. Good stuff for a mature six year old.

ordered some small xmas gifts and got them in, mostly for kids. And couldn't help myself and ordered two blow up Christmas decorations, including a six foot Santa for my front step.
ho ho ho

nothing goes up until after turkey day. I wonder whose neighbor will be first this year.

Thanks guys - I think the most difficult part for me right now is the currently untreated mental health challenges. We'll see how it goes now that the family is not living in our space. I just feel numb.

but at least i can get back to my office work now

57F with haze @ 12:45, Woman says it is misting outside. Possibility of the sun making an appearance later today but it will most likely be an inside day today.

Got hopper feeder filled yesterday.

Made run down to Menards in Massillon and picked up door jamb/frame and trim.

Woman didn't feel like going to the BOE to vote so we skipped that. They are open all week until 19:00 for early voting so we'll go at another time, possibly sometime later today.

We did stop on the way back at the cheap gas station and got fuel for the Cub and her car. It was 40 cents per gallon cheaper than the station here by the house.

When we got back I came over to the barn and worked on digging out more bays to add foam board insulation. More than half done.

Also removed the ballasts from the last three fluorescent fixtures.

Cleaned up the last of the stuffed peppers for dinner.

Agenda for the rest of the day:

Handle banking and schedule a bill for payment.

If the sun ever comes out I'll unload the the door jamb/frame and trim out of Her car and take it over to the barn. Maybe even unload the 2 x 4's out of the van.

Otherwise probably start putting up joist hangers on the trusses over in the barn.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday ... (y)

Did you try Amazon?
Amazon.ca doesn't have it. Bass Pro shops carries it in the U.S. but not in Canada. The feds in Canada would rather we get malaria than repel mossies. I think I can get it at a horsey shop/feed store but I will need to cut it 50%.

RNG, listen to Supertramp much?
what goes up doesn't necessarily come down.

Got the safety chain hooks installed and the snow implements pammed. Energy conservation now.

That was the BEST song at the Supertramp concert, when I saw them in the mid 80s

the arena was an amazing concert experience
