Good late (Thursday) morning. Another mild overnight Low of 14C with a predicted High of 17C. It's presently 17.5C, so that 'prediction' has gone out the window. There was 3mm of rain in the gauge at 0900... so far that makes 102.1mm for 'this event' and, of course, it's raining again as I type this. 😄

I've already been into the St Helens Base Hospital for a scheduled (3 monthly) podiatrist appointment. He clips my toenails and 'sands' my calluses down. It's a diabetes related service and only costs A$25 per visit. I then swung by the grocery store to pick up a bag of dry cat food that I forgot to get yesterday.

I may pop into town (again) later to provide that blood test sample, but I'll need to really hydrate prior to that or Sister will have difficulty (to say the least) finding a vein.

That's about it, take care all.

Update: Yep, I went into the clinic for the blood sample and, yes, it took her both arms before she could get a double sample... at least it wasn't a 'fasting bloods'. I hate those.

42°F and clear skies this morning, got up to 61° today. More of the same forecast for the rest of the week, with the addition of some possible rain on Sunday.

Condolences to you and your family, check.

Drew, Tower Rock Conservation Area is about 100 mile south of us, just south of Perryville MO and Chester IL (home of Popeye The Sailor Man) on the Missouri side of the Mississippi River. I've never been there, as I've always heard the viewing area is not all that easy to get to. This historic low level of the Mississippi is a subject of constant chatter around here. Six months from now, we'll be complaining about how high it is and the Spring flooding it'll cause.

Good evening, gents.

Got all the house yard mowed yesterday. Today I have been spraying for broadleaf around the paddocks but it got too hot on the tractor. 33.3 deg C at the moment.(91.94 F) Been up since 1.00 a.m. I think my body has adapted to waking early now. Not that I am entirely happy with the idea. Some shopping to do and then relax?

Thomas, I bought some rubber boots at our last heavy rain event and wore them once. Next time I need them they will probably be perished.
